51-year-old supermodel Tyra Banks turned heads and sparked major buzz after showing off a bold new look at Daily Front Row’s Ninth Annual Fashion L.A. Awards on Thursday night.

Tyra Banks, who recently opened up about the unexpected reason behind her move from the U.S. to Australia, attended the event alongside stars like Brooks Nader and Chappell Roan.

The supermodel-turned-mogul looked nearly unrecognizable as she hit the red carpet, rocking a striking makeup look that included thicker, bolder brows, shimmering silver eyeshadow, a warm blush for a radiant glow, and a light pink matte lip to tie it all together.

For the occasion, Tyra Banks wore a dramatic dark brown ankle-length coat cinched at the waist with a belt, with additional fabric draping off one shoulder for added flair.

She paired the statement piece with brown closed-toe pumps, keeping her brunette locks simple and sleek in loose waves parted down the middle.

However, there was something that was noticeably missing. Flashy jewelry.

Tyra kept accessories to a minimum, letting her fierce fashion moment speak for itself as she paused for a few snaps before hitting the stage to accept her Fashion Icon Award.

While Tyra continues to slay her looks, she’s never been shy about being honest when it comes to beauty, aging, and the real secrets behind her ageless glow.

In a recent interview with Essence, the "America’s Next Top Model" creator shared her refreshing outlook on aging, saying, "I know sometimes people my age, they look at a younger generation and they get jealous of their youth, their vitality, and that they have so much ahead of them. But I don't look at the younger generation and get jealous of that, because I was once that. I experienced that. I don't have that inside of me."

And back in 2023, Tyra revealed to Daily Mail that part of her youthful appearance could be chalked up to one surprising factor: “extra weight.”

"I do think one secret is extra weight, because I've not been too skinny," she explained. "I think if you're really skinny, it will age your face. So I think a bit of juice, as it keeps the face nice and juicy naturally. I haven't had injections."

Tyra has been candid about her cosmetic choices, too.

“The only thing I did was my nose, and that was many years ago. I'm not anti [injections]. Maybe one day I will, but I haven't done it yet," she said.

In fact, Tyra first came clean about her rhinoplasty in a 2018 PEOPLE interview and later detailed the experience in her memoir, "Perfect Is Boring."

"Natural beauty is unfair," she stated, adding, "I had bones in my nose that were growing and itching. I could breathe fine, but I added cosmetic surgery. I admit it! Fake hair, and I did my nose. I feel I have a responsibility to tell the truth."

She also had a powerful message for women, telling them, "Fix it or flaunt it, I think women should be able to do both. There is a boundary line, either you're supernatural or you live at the plastic surgeon. It's okay to hop back and forth over that line. You want a hair weave? Fine. You want permanent eyebrows? Fine. We as women need to stop judging."

Outside of her fashion moment, Tyra has also been making headlines for a major life change: her move to Australia!

During a recent guest appearance on "Today with Jenna & Friends," the icon opened up about why she relocated her family Down Under.

"So I have this ice cream company, SMiZE and Dream," she explained. "I was going to Australia a lot because we were making a lot of our ice cream there in a big facility doing our recipes, and I just fell in love with it."

Tyra added, "So I was like, 'I'm happy here, and they love to eat some ice cream, so are we gonna do this, family?' And we did it!"
