Gwyneth Paltrow Slams 'Drummed-Up' Feud With Meghan Markle: 'Leave Us Out Of It'

Gwyneth Paltrow once again debunks reports of any bad blood with Meghan Markle.

The Goop founder is voicing her refusal to be dragged into a non-existent conflict with the Duchess of Sussex amid speculations of one between them.

Gwyneth Paltrow has not hidden her admiration for Meghan Markle, especially in the face of scrutiny and backlash over her Netflix lifestyle series.

In a recent episode of "The World's First Podcast with Erin & Sara Foster," Paltrow addressed rumors of the supposed rivalry between her and Meghan. Paltrow firmly stated that she refuses to be part of any fabricated conflicts between women for the sake of media sensationalism, saying:

"I won't be a pawn in some drummed-up, triangulation of women feud for your f-cking clickbait. Leave us out of it. Don't do that. I will not stand for that."

She emphasized her respect for Meghan, wishing her "nothing but the best" and acknowledging the positive impact of her work. Paltrow also expressed pride in what Meghan is achieving, asserting that every woman has the right to pursue their ambitions.

Although the Duchess's lifestyle brand, which was recently launched and quickly sold out, has drawn attention, Paltrow does not perceive her as competition to her brand, Goop.

As noted by PEOPLE, on March 26, Paltrow and Meghan decided to surprise fans with a joint appearance in an Instagram video to prove things are really cordial between them.

During the video, a fan questioned Paltrow about the supposed rivalry between her and the former royal. Addressing the camera, Paltrow expressed her confusion, stating, "I genuinely do not understand this at all, whatsoever."

The actress then turned the question back to the viewers, as the camera shifted to Meghan, who was enjoying a slice of pie, shrugged in response, and shared a laugh.

She had previously given a piece of her mind in her Vanity Fair cover story published on March 18. Paltrow expressed her belief that women should support one another rather than view each other as rivals.

She emphasized her upbringing, which instilled in her the idea that there is enough opportunity for everyone, including Meghan. Paltrow asserted that every woman deserves a chance to pursue her goals, stating, "Another woman is never your competition."

Her message promotes friendship and collaboration among women, encouraging them to uplift each other.

Meghan, impressed by Paltrow's resolve not to join the public in tearing her down, was reportedly looking forward to making a meaningful connection with her.

As shared by The Blast, Meghan was overjoyed by the positivity in the face of harsh feedback that has been trailing her new Netflix show "With Love, Meghan."

The former actress reportedly holds Paltrow in high esteem and is considering inviting her to be a guest on her podcast, "Confessions of a Female Founder," which showcases women entrepreneurs.

Even if this collaboration does not happen, Meghan hopes to arrange a more casual meeting with the "Glee" actress. According to a source, receiving Paltrow's approval could be highly advantageous for Meghan, who is excited about the possibility of future collaborations.

The stars are truly aligned for this brewing friendship. In the Vanity Fair interview, Paltrow similarly shared her interest in connecting with both Meghan and Prince Harry.

According to her, they all reside in Montecito, California, and while she has met the "really lovely" Meghan in the past, they have not gone past the surface. Paltrow then humorously suggested she might try to bypass their security to bring them a pie, and solidify their friendship.

Drawing attention to Meghan's criticism, Paltrow emphasized her instinct to support women scrutinized in the public eye, a lifestyle she learned from her late mother.

The actress stressed the importance of empowering women to chase their dreams. She holds the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to pursue their ambitions and try whatever they desire.

Meghan premiered her new lifestyle series "With Love, Meghan" on Netflix, adding another visual adventure to her contract with the streaming giant. The show features cooking and gardening tips, with some of her celebrity friends appearing as guests.

Despite the controversial reactions that have trailed this drop, the mother-of-two is not resting on her laurels. She has now successfully launched her new brand, As Ever. 

Before it launched, reports disclosed that the actress's lifestyle brand would specialize in home decor and kitchen essentials. It will offer a range of products that includes decanters, cutlery, napkin rings, table linens, and cookbooks.

Meghan has since released a selection of healthy edible products under her As Ever brand, which include a raspberry spread in a keepsake container and wildflower honey.

The Duchess of Sussex also recently debuted her new podcast, "Confessions of a Female Founder," with Lemonada Media.
