Skai Jackson's Baby Daddy Goes Back To Jail Over Outstanding Ohio Warrant

Skai Jackson's baby daddy is beginning to make getting arrested a hobby!

The former Disney star's partner, Deondre Burgin, has found his way back to jail after authorities captured him for an existing offense in Ohio.

Skai Jackson's partner's arrest comes after he served a 90-day sentence for flouting his parole orders from a previous crime earlier in the year.

Burgin, the father of Jackson's child, is back in custody after being arrested in Kentucky due to an outstanding misdemeanor warrant from Ohio. 

He was apprehended at a gas station on April 17 when a Taylor Mill police officer recognized him from the National Crime Information Center database. Burgin is currently being held on a $25,000 bond.

The warrant from Hamilton County, Ohio, was issued after he failed to display a license plate on his vehicle in March and subsequently missed his court date. 

This recent arrest follows a previous 90-day sentence he served at Hamilton County Jail for violating his parole related to earlier theft and weapon possession charges as a juvenile.

TMZ reported that Burgin also missed the birth of his and Jackson's baby, Kasai, while incarcerated in January. During that time, a family source shared that Jackson was excited about motherhood and was committed to being the best parent and role model she could be.

This is not the rapper's first run-in with the cops; The Blast noted that a viral video captured Burgin's confrontation with police last year, illustrating a chaotic scene where he was uncooperative during the arrest. 

According to eyewitness accounts, Burgin had a near-miss with a car while fleeing from officers. The video showed two officers struggling to subdue him, eventually managing to pin him to the ground after a brief resistance. 

As they waited for backup, one officer kept Burgin restrained with a knee on his back while a third cop arrived to assist. The official arrest report revealed that Burgin was wanted on a juvenile parole violation and had attempted to evade capture. 

The pursuit ended with him falling and sustaining a minor cut on his cheek, although he did not suffer any serious injuries.

The rapper was booked for misdemeanor obstruction of official business but has since been released from custody. As if the drama of his arrest was not enough, he caused another controversy with his social media post on his Facebook page that stirred up headlines.

The post contained a disparaging message about Jackson, his girlfriend, and the mother of his soon-to-be child at the time, making it seem like he was insulting her. "On wopp, I'm salty. I got this dumb a-s Disney Channel b-tch pregnant. I hate this h-e," the rapper declared.

However, both Jackson and her mother came forward to defend Burgin, asserting that his account had been hacked by a malicious party, which cast doubt on the authenticity of the post.

Like her boyfriend, the former child star also got into trouble with the cops last year after getting into a fight with Burgin. The incident happened three months before she confirmed her pregnancy with the rapper.

Last August, the actress was involved in a domestic violence incident at Universal CityWalk when she and her boyfriend were seen having a heated argument in public. When authorities arrived, the couple claimed they were simply engaged and expecting a baby, denying any conflict.

However, surveillance footage revealed that the actress had pushed her boyfriend, leading to her arrest. Despite this evidence, the L.A. County District Attorney's Office decided not to pursue charges in the case.

The District Attorney's Office announced that it would not file charges against Jackson due to a lack of sufficient evidence to proceed with a trial. They also considered the actress's clean criminal record and her boyfriend's support in their decision.

Before welcoming her baby and sharing her name with the world, the star sat down for an interview where she described her pregnancy as one of the highlights of her life.

As shared by The Blast, last November, the actress showcased her baby bump through a series of stylish pictures in the interview. She wore a trendy outfit with a cropped white shirt and baggy jeans.

Excited about the upcoming arrival of her first child with her boyfriend, whose name she has chosen to keep private, she shared her enthusiasm, "I'm thrilled to begin this new chapter in my life, embracing motherhood and diving into new acting projects."

On January 26, 2025, Jackson eventually announced the joyful arrival of her newborn on Instagram. She shared a touching photo of herself gently holding the baby's tiny hands and revealed the baby's name, "Kasai," in the caption.

Although she did not provide details regarding the baby's gender or date of arrival, her post garnered a flood of love and congratulatory messages from fans and friends alike.
