Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are reportedly at loggerheads over how best to sell their $68 million marital mansion, which has been on the market for nearly a year.

The former couple has since settled their divorce but has been unable to sell off the prized property as they struggle to find a buyer, with realtors suggesting they overpaid for it.

Ben Affleck has since snapped up a $20.5 million Bachelor Pad in Brentwood, while Jennifer Lopez recently bought an $18 million home near L.A.

Affleck and Lopez are reportedly at odds over how best to let off their sprawling $68 million Beverly Hills mansion, which has been up for sale for nearly a year now.

The former couple paid $60.8 million for the property in May 2023 after tying the knot the previous year.

However, at the height of speculations that their marriage had crashed, they listed the property for $68 million in July last year, having completed renovation works on it.

According to TMZ, sources have shared that the "Argo" actor is eager to reduce their asking price in a bid to attract potential buyers, but Lopez is totally against it.

The situation may leave the "Maid In Manhattan" actress scratching her head as some realtors told the news outlet that their $68 million evaluation is too high and that they'd need to reduce it by at least 15% if they want to sell it off.

Why The Former Couple Is Struggling To Find A Buyer

Affleck and Lopez have struggled to find a buyer since they placed the 12-bedroom, 24-bathroom property on the market.

In September last year, they received a $64 million offer from a New Jersey couple for the home, but they sadly "pulled out of escrow" due to a death in their family.

Other factors may have seemingly impacted Affleck and Lopez's inability to secure a buyer, as sources told TMZ that insurance costs for the property could top $500,000 annually.

This adds to the rising fire insurance costs in the area following the deadly wildfires that ravaged most parts of California earlier this year.

"Selling Sunset" star Jason Oppenheim told Realtor.com in October 2024, "It would have been surprising for the house to sell in less than 100 days."

He added, "Most homes of this magnitude are on the market for six months, and in many cases significantly longer."

Meanwhile, the former couple have since moved on, with the Oscar-winning actor securing a $20.5 million bachelor pad, which was miraculously not affected by the wildfires that engulfed the city.

Lopez, on the other hand, initially set her eyes on a "truly exceptional" Beverly Hills home that was situated on a quiet street with several A-list neighbors, but finally settled for an $18 million home outside L.A., according to People Magazine.

Affleck and Lopez have seemingly maintained a cordial relationship free of post-divorce drama.

In April's issue of GQ Magazine, the "Good Will Hunting" star opened up about his divorce from the "On The Floor" singer, insisting that it was a "drama-free" process for them.

He told the publication that "there's no scandal, no soap opera, no intrigue" behind their breakup, but wouldn't share details about it because it was "just sort of embarrassing."

"The truth is, when you talk to somebody, 'Hey, what happened?' Well, there is no, 'This is what happened,'" he explained. "It's just a story about people trying to figure out their lives and relationships in ways that we all sort of normally do."

Affleck further addressed reports that Lopez's "Greatest Love Story Never Told" documentary about their love life "caused some fractures" in their marriage.

Although admitting that his "temperament is to be a little bit more reserved and private" than his ex-wife's, he noted that he went forward with the documentary because he loves and supports her.

"And I think it's important to say that wasn't the cause of some major fracture. It's not like you can watch that documentary and go, 'Oh, now I understand the issues that these two had,'" the actor said.

One thing the former couple evidently has in common is their workaholic nature, as insiders shared they're burying their hearts in work to deal with the heartbreak from their divorce.

Affleck appeared on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" on Tuesday, where he discussed his upcoming film "The Accountant 2," alongside costar Jon Bernthal.

He has also been spotted filming his new movie "Animals" and participating in several press tours.

In the same way, Lopez headlined the 2025 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix over the weekend in Jeddah and has been in New Jersey filming her movie "Office Romance."

She'll soon be proceeding on a summer tour where she'll perform at select venues. A source told the Daily Mail that the pair are keeping their minds off the heartbreak by working even more.

"They are both sad that the marriage did not work out," the insider told the news outlet. "Instead of crying over it, however, they are working their hearts out. They love being busy with solid projects."

"They want more successes, more hit films, more awards," the source added.
