Jamie Lynn Spears Drops New Bikini Photos For 'Sweet Magnolias' Season 5

Jamie Lynn Spears drives social media wild with her latest update!

The 34-year-old actress took to Instagram and shared a mixture of photos and a video from her recent beach trip while also sharing news about "Sweet Magnolias."

Soaking up the sun at the beach, Spears showcased her tan and fit physique in a mismatched bikini consisting of a yellow top with stripes and neon orange bottoms. In the first slide, Britney Spears's younger sister lounged on the sand with her legs stretched out as she leaned back and smiled at the camera.

A swipe to the right saw Spears writing "Season 5" on the sand in a video. For the occasion, she opted for a white bucket hat, sunglasses, and stud earrings as accessories.

Spears flashed a big smile once again to the camera while kneeling on the sand with her hands on her hips, as seen in the third picture. The blonde beauty was then joined by her daughter, Ivey Joan Watson, whom she shares with her husband, Jamie Watson. She then poses solo in the last image.

Spears shared some good news about "Sweet Magnolias."

"It's official SEASON 5 of SWEET MAGNOLIAS is happening!!! #SWEETMAGNOLIAS #SEASON5 #NETFLIX," she wrote in the caption.

Spears' update was well-received by her followers. Many dropped compliments, while others expressed their excitement over the new season.

In the romance drama series based on the novel series by Sherryl Woods, Spears plays Noreen Fitzgibbons, a young nurse whose affair with Dr. Bill Townsend (portrayed by Chris Klein) and pregnancy make her an easy target for gossip. The show also stars JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Brooke Elliott, and Heather Headley.

Netflix describes the Southern series as a "comfort drama," and it "continuously ranks among the site's Global Top 10 list in over 60 countries."

After a long hiatus from acting, Spears, who's a former child star, made her long-awaited return to television in "Sweet Magnolias," adapted from Woods' popular collection of romance novels set in the fictional town of Serenity, South Carolina.

"I had been in denial, not really admitting to myself how much I missed acting," Spears told The Hollywood Reporter. "I was working on my music for a while, and then I focused on my family for a bit. With acting, I was just waiting for a project that made sense."

Apart from being the sister of a global pop star, Spears gained fame on Nickelodeon's "Zoey 101." She played the lead role of Zoey Brooks and ended after four seasons in 2008. In the same year, the actress welcomed daughter Maddie, now 16, with ex Casey Aldridge following a highly publicized teen pregnancy.
