She described the past four seasons as an "unforgettable journey, one filled with growth, lessons, and so many incredible memories."

Mia went through so many transitions within the last one year, including a shift in her marriage and family traditions. As shared by The Blast, Last Thanksgiving marked a significant change for Mia, as it was her first holiday season apart from Gordon.
The TV personality shared last year that they will not combine their family celebrations for the first time. Mia noted that while navigating their separation in 2023, they kept things somewhat normal for their children's sake, hoping to ease the transition.
However, she believed separating their holiday traditions would help their kids fully understand that their parents are no longer together. Mia confirmed that she will celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve with the kids, while Gordon and the kids will take Christmas Day and New Year's.

Regarding her split, Mia revealed that Gordon's harsh public remarks in 2023 were the tipping point that led her to file for divorce. As a mother of three, she felt the need to take control of her life, stating, "This is not what we're doing," and decided to initiate the divorce process.
Despite her pain, Mia emphasized that she would never publicly shame Gordon for the sake of their children. The comments that sparked her reaction occurred during an interview where Gordon accused Mia of marrying him solely for his wealth.
He suggested that she planned to leave him when those resources ran out and went on to claim that he had given Mia a "hall pass" for extramarital affairs.
Gordon seemingly admitted that he could not satisfy Mia's sexual needs and expressed his disappointment, feeling betrayed that Mia allegedly lied about her affairs. He was hurt that she engaged in them secretly rather than being honest with him.

At an event for rape victims hosted by Karen Huger for Promoting Awareness Victim Empowerment (PAVE), the reality star revisited a deeply painful chapter from her past as a sexual assault survivor.
The atmosphere triggered intense emotions, leading her to a breakdown, and she was seen rushing to the bathroom in tears while co-star Ashley Darby provided support.
During the event, she recalled a traumatic incident from her youth, describing how a trusted friend had left her alone with the perpetrator, resulting in a horrific experience.
Overwhelmed by her memories, she expressed her struggle with coping, questioning her past decisions and the circumstances that led her to that painful situation.
"It's my coping mechanism to get the f-ck out when sh-t's uncomfortable and, unfortunately, that day, I couldn't get out. It's just, like, 'Why didn't you just leave? Why did you put yourself in that situation?'" the TV star tearfully asked.
Mia Thornton Not Shocked At Her Co-star Karen Huger's Guilty Verdict

During her appearance on "Watch What Happens Live" with Cohen, The Blast noted that Thornton addressed the recent legal troubles of her co-star Huger.
The "RHOP" star faced multiple charges, including DUI and DWI, following a single-vehicle collision in early 2024. While maintaining her innocence throughout the currently airing Season 9 of Potomac, Huger ultimately was found guilty on all counts except reckless driving.
Thornton expressed that she was not surprised by the verdict, stating, "Listen, I always knew she was guilty." She suggested that the outcome might have been different if Huger, who often held her co-stars accountable on the show, had taken responsibility for her actions.
