Post Malone And His Ex-Fiancée Now Butting Heads Over Daughter's Custody

Post Malone now has a possible custody battle on his hands as his former fiancée makes demands.

The rapper's ex, Hee Sung "Jamie" Park, is requesting a change in the existing custody arrangement, which will see the rapper gaining only visitation rights.

Post Malone and Hee Sung "Jamie" Park, who were in a low-key relationship, reportedly broke up as 2024 wrapped up, two years after welcoming their daughter in 2022.

Malone's ex-fiancée, Park, has filed for full physical custody of their 2-year-old daughter, referred to in court documents as "DDP." 

She is requesting that the musician be granted only visitation rights. Park is also willing to share legal custody and has indicated that DDP has been living with her since November 2024, around the time of her split from Malone. 

Following their breakup, TMZ shared that Malone has been seen with his new girlfriend, Christy Lee, including a romantic dinner in Paris. While he has not yet responded to Park's custody filing, he recently submitted his custody documents in Utah, though those details remain sealed.

While most of their relationship was kept under wraps, the rapper confirmed in a 2022 interview with Howard Stern that he was engaged. 

In a report by Commingsoon, Malone further shared a humorous anecdote on the "Call Her Daddy podcast" about his initial marriage proposal to Jamie, which took place in Las Vegas while he was intoxicated. 

After losing a significant amount of money at the casino, he impulsively asked her to marry him, but she declined, suggesting he ask again the next day. 

When he proposed sober, she accepted. In various interviews, Malone has expressed his deep admiration for Jamie, referring to her as the "No. 1 mom in the f-cking universe." He has always dreamed of having children and a big family and recognized early on that Jamie would be an exceptional mother.

In May 2022, the rapper welcomed a daughter with his fiancée, a happy announcement he shared casually during a conversation with Howard Stern the following month. He had told PEOPLE they had a baby on the way weeks before.

Despite his busy schedule, he expressed the difficulties of balancing his career and fatherhood.The rapper revealed in an interview with GQ that being away from his daughter was tough, although she was starting to visit him more often.

By August 2023, during his appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, he opened up about his biggest fear, which is being unable to be present for his child. This realization motivated him to reduce his drinking and focus on taking better care of himself.

During his interview with GQ, Malone expressed curiosity to see if his infant daughter would become a fan of his music. He noted that she has not cried when he plays his songs, which he views as a positive sign.

He shared how eager he was to let her develop her preferences and is hopeful that she will enjoy his music, as he believes many kids do. 

However, he humorously acknowledged the possibility that she might dislike his work simply because it is associated with him, joking that she could someday tell him, "Dad, you suck. Just go away."

Over the years, the rapper has seen his music covered by numerous artists and reimagined into Kidz Bop versions and lullabies. He enjoys playing these lullabies for his daughter, sometimes forgetting they are his songs.

In his conversation, he expressed his affection for the lullabies, noting that they are enjoyable to listen to. He even mentioned playing the songs and trying to guess which one it is, often struggling to recall the melodies.

Since becoming a father, Malone has significantly changed his lifestyle, focusing on health and well-being. In April 2023, he shared a candid photo of himself relaxing in bed while on tour in Antwerp, Belgium, using the opportunity to address his weight loss journey.

He revealed that fatherhood inspired him to cut out soda and improve his eating habits, expressing a desire to be there for his daughter. Malone humorously mentioned that while he aims to quit smoking and drinking, he considers himself a patient man.

He also reflected on how becoming a parent has shifted his perspective, leading him to party less and live more responsibly. However, he acknowledged that alcohol remains a challenge for him.
