Kim Kardashian's woes over her late father's memorabilia continue with a looming fear of Robert Kardashian Sr.'s private correspondences being leaked to the public.
The "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" alum recently lost the bid to obtain her father's bible, which had been in O.J. Simpson's estate.
Robert Kardashian rose to fame as a friend and defense attorney for the NFL star-turned-convict. Although he and O.J. Simpson are long gone, the memories they shared reportedly remain in possession of the latter's estate.
Kim Kardashian Wants Her Father's Possessions Returned To Her Family

It has been over two decades since Robert took his final breath on September 30, 2003; however, he remains a significant part of his family's life. Kim, especially, has been vocal in her efforts to retrieve her father's belongings from Simpson's estate.
A source alleged the reality TV queen and her family worry Robert's things might come back to haunt them if left unchecked. They claimed the situation left a bitter taste in Kim's mouth because she wanted her father's belongings returned to his loved ones instead of staying in Simpson's estate.
"The stressful part is that, as of now, she has no way of knowing what else O.J. may have saved from her dad. They exchanged so many private letters over the years, there's no way of knowing what Robert Sr. may have written to O.J.," the insider shared, per In Touch, adding:
"It's horrifying for Kim and the whole family to think that his private correspondence may end up in the public eye. They're scrambling to get ahead of this."

Kim's efforts to reclaim her late father's belongings began when she caught wind of his bible. Robert reportedly gave Simpson the bible following his infamous double murder charge. The source noted the latter treasured the gift from his pal for decades before dying from prostate cancer in April 2024.
Although the bible was a sentimental object for Simpson, it meant more to Kim, who longed for parts of her father no matter how small. She tried to win the bible fair and square after the disgraced NFL veteran's estate placed it on auction in March. Unfortunately, her $15,000 for the memorabilia was insufficient.
An anonymous person topped Kim's offer with a staggering $80,000 bid, and the bible was sold to its new owner on March 29. The source noted the loss hurt the TV personality deeply, saying:
"Kim was determined to get this bible back for sentimental reasons. Even seeing her dad's handwriting means the world to her, but it's also a part of his legacy. She didn't want it in the hands of a stranger."
O.J. Simpson's Estate Executor Slammed Kim's Offer For Being Too Low

Last month, The Blast covered Kim's attempt to obtain her father's bible from Simpson's estate. She offered Malcolm LaVergne, the estate's executor, $15,000 for the sentimental item. However, he refused because it was already under contract with the court to be auctioned off.
"The amount is why I had no choice, because why would I spend $15,000 of estate money —why would I spend $15,000 in attorney's fees — to sell it to Kim for $15,000?" LaVergne argued. He doubled down on her offer being too low, saying:
"That's a zero-sum game. That's a bad business model. If Kim had offered $150,000, we would've been in court getting this approved outside of the auction."
LaVergne advised Kim to bid for her father's bible online, which had a $9,800 bid at the time. He noted that if she got lucky, "The Kardashians" star could win the item for less than her bidding price. Unfortunately, fate had other plans for Robert's bible.
The Bible Had A Handwritten Note From The Entertainer's Father

Besides being her father's memorabilia, Kim's interest in the bible might be linked to the handwritten note inside it. LaVergne confirmed the item came with a touching message from Robert to Simpson following the latter's double murder in 1994.
"O.J., this book will help. God loves, and he will speak to you with his words. Read this book every day. God has a definite plan for your life. You are his child, and he will use you again. I love you, and God loves you," Robert's note read.
Robert shared a close bond with Simpson, even representing the disgraced athlete during his murder trial. His efforts contributed to Simpson's acquittal on all counts in 1995.
However, the victory did not last as he was later found guilty of murdering his estranged wife, Nicole Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman, in a 1997 civil trial.
Kim Kardashian Once Linked Her Law School Journey To Her Late Dad

Kim's love for Robert has been evident over the years, with various tributes and mentions of her dad in several projects. She once reflected on her law school journey through her father's eyes during the 2020 documentary "Kim Kardashian West: The Justice Project."
The entertainer claimed her struggles in school reminded her of her late father, saying: "I could be frustrated and studying really late and have to get up and wonder how he did it, having four kids and must've been going through some of the same things that I have gone through."
"So it would have been exciting to talk to him about that, and I know that he would be so, so proud," Kim gushed. Robert welcomed four children with his ex-wife Kris Jenner, including Kim, her sisters Kourtney and Khloé, and younger brother Robert Jr. The lawyer died from esophageal cancer in September 2003.
