Ben Affleck has confessed that he is not particularly smooth when it comes to wooing women.
The actor made the admission during a press run for his new movie, "The Accountant 2," sharing that he has subpar flirting skills, just like his character in the film.
Ben Affleck, who played the role of autistic hitman and financial genius Christian Wolff in the film, broke his silence about his divorce from Jennifer Lopez, stating it was "embarrassing" to talk about."
Ben Affleck Says He Struggles With 'Flirting'

During a recent media appearance for his new movie "The Accountant 2," Affleck confessed that he isn't great at flirting, similar to his character in the film, who also struggles to woo women.
"Here's a guy who's trying to figure out — he wants to have a relationship with a woman, he's trying to figure out how to do that, like, how to put yourself out there," said Affleck, who played the character Christian Wolff in the action film, per Page Six.
"He's not comfortable extending himself," the actor added about the character. "He doesn't really know how to flirt exactly…. like so many of us."
Affleck went on to say, "It's not easy for anyone to figure out relationships," especially during the early stages when both parties are still trying to learn about themselves.
"You're trying to gauge, 'What does this signal mean? Is this person looking at me? Do they like me? Am I going to humiliate myself if I go over there?'" Affleck further remarked.
The Actor Recently Broke His Silence About His Divorce From Jennifer Lopez

The admission comes after Affleck broke his silence on his divorce from Jennifer Lopez.
The pair originally dated in the early 2000s and even got engaged before calling it quits. They rekindled their romance in 2021 and tied the knot in 2022, but by August 2024, Lopez filed for divorce, which was finalized in January 2025.
Reflecting on their failed marriage in his cover story with GQ Magazine, Affleck stated that much of the speculation surrounding their split was inaccurate.
"There's a tendency to look at breakups and want to identify root causes or something. But honestly ... the truth is much more quotidian than probably people would believe or would be interesting," the actor said.
He added, "There's no scandal, no soap opera, no intrigue. The truth is, when you talk to somebody, 'Hey, what happened?' Well, there is no, 'This is what happened.'"
Ben Affleck Called His Other Ex-Wife Jennifer Garner A 'Good Partner'

Before marrying Lopez, Affleck had a great co-parenting arrangement with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.
The former couple share three kids, Violet, 19, Seraphina (Fin), 16, and Samuel, 13, and have co-parented since their divorce.
Speaking about their relationship, Affleck described Garner as a solid "partner" whom he is grateful to have.
"I'm really lucky that I have a really good co-parent and partner in Jennifer Garner, the kids' mom, who's wonderful and great and we work together well," he shared with GQ.
The actor also partly attributed the success of their parenting arrangement to how they have safeguarded their lives from the media and ensured that their kids are kept informed about everything they do.
"We used to have a thing, my ex-wife and I, when they would see something on a supermarket stand," Affleck shared at the time, "We would say, well, 'You know this isn't always true because if it were, you would have 15 brothers or sisters or whatever the number of stories is where they said that your mom was pregnant.'"
The Actor Is Not Interested In Rekindling His Romance With Jennifer Garner

Since his divorce, Affleck has grown closer to Garner, with the two even spotted sharing intimate moments during outings.
Unsurprisingly, this sparked speculations across social media that the duo might be getting back together now that Lopez was out of the picture.
However, those rumors were later refuted by an insider close to Affleck, who described them as simply "ridiculous."
The source also claimed that the actor is happy to have a strong co-parenting relationship with Garner and is not romantically involved with anyone else at the moment.
Ben Affleck Is Done With The 'Narrative' That He Was The 'Villain' In His Marriage To Jennifer Lopez

Affleck's comments about his divorce surprised many, as he has always been known for keeping his personal life out of the public.
According to a source who spoke to the Daily Mail, the actor was tired of being portrayed as the "villain" in his marriage to the singer, while Lopez was seen as the victim.
The insider explained that Affleck wanted to set the record straight and finally put the speculation to rest.
"He is so over this divorce and the narrative that he was grumpy and that Jen was a victim," the source said. "It has been a year since he left, and he is hoping that speaking up will stop the constant questions."
The insider added, "He is ready to focus on what actually matters to him. His career and his family. This gave Ben closure, which is what he needed."
