As Kim Kardashian continues to make massive business moves off-screen, sources close to the famous family say her mother, Kris Jenner, is becoming increasingly worried about her future on their family reality show.
It's no secret that the Kardashian family has become global celebrities thanks to their popular productions "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" and "The Kardashians."
But how long will they continue to let cameras film their every move? Insiders suggest Kim Kardashian is ready to leave the unscripted series in her past. Still, Kris is said to be "begging" her daughter to stick around in order to maintain their "clout" and celebrity status.
Sources Say Kris Is 'Desperate' For Kim Kardashian To Continue Filming Their Family Show

According to sources close to the family and the show's production, Kris has been worried about the fate of their reality series on Hulu, especially as her daughters become busier with their businesses.
"Kris goes back and forth between begging Kim and trying to scare her," the source told InTouch. “She’s desperate to stop her from bowing out of the show, because she knows it would all fall apart without Kim.”
"The Kardashians" recently wrapped its sixth season on April 10, 2025. It features Kris and Kim, along with the other four Kar-Jenner famous faces: Kourtney, Khloé, Kendall, and Kylie. Family members, including Scott Disick, Travis Barker, Corey Gamble, and Tristan Thompson, make recurring appearances throughout.
The source noted that the family has felt the "pressure" of creating entertaining content for Hulu and its viewers for some time. They also seemed to hint that the show is in jeopardy of being canceled as "ratings decline."
However, that may not be enough of a reason for the girls to want to stay. Per the source, filming has become a "tedious" task that's taken a backseat for many of them.
“It’s become tedious for all the girls having cameras trail their lives,” they said. “Most of them are proactive in growing other aspects of their respective businesses and ways to make money.”
Kris Is Worried The Family Could Lose Their Clout If Kim Kardashian Stops Filming

Speaking of their other businesses, like Kylie's beauty empire, Kendall's tequila line, and Kim's clothing brand, the source told InTouch that their success makes Kris fearful that her children could begin thinking they don't need their show.
"If they are no longer on TV, the big fear is that they'd lose their clout and with it a ton of followers and ultimately their earning power," they shared. “Kris loves to remind Kim of that anytime it sounds like she’s got a foot out the door.”
They added, however, that doesn't always work with Kim, 44.
“When that’s not working, she resorts to begging her and telling her that without her help, the whole family will lose what they’ve built," the source added.
Kim Kardashian Is Working With Nike

Kim's highly acclaimed clothing brand, SKIMS, which is also the official underwear partner of the NBA and WNBA, secured another major collaboration in early 2025.
In an Instagram post, the mother of four revealed that her company was joining forces with Nike.
The American shapewear line, which was launched in 2019, caters to consumers of all kinds. The products come in a variety of sizes, ranging from XXS to 5XL. But that's not all. In addition to inclusive sizing, SKIMS comes in nine different shades to accommodate different skin tones.
While announcing her partnership, Kim said she and the athletic company share the same core values, including a "deep commitment to innovation, inclusivity, and pushing boundaries, driven by an unwavering belief in the power of women."
She added, “This partnership is the culmination of that shared vision, delivering product[s] that [are] meticulously designed to sculpt and perform for everybody. Every single detail has been obsessed over and carefully considered."
Kim Jokingly Called Kris Out For Promoting Competitor

Following her NikeSKIMS reveal, Kim jokingly called her mother out after the latter shared a sponsored post in her Alo tracksuit.
For those unfamiliar with the brand, Alo is a popular American premium athletic apparel company praised by celebrities such as Hailey Bieber, Bella Hadid, and, of course, Kris.
"Cozy days in my @Alo," Kris captioned the post.
Kim replied and asked her mom why she had to promote the company the day her NikeSKIMS campaign launched.
"Did you really have to post this one the same day as my NikeSKIMS announcement?" Kim asked.
Kris Is Giving Kim Tips On Being A Momager

The Blast previously reported that, in addition to her growing fashion line, Kim has also taken on the role of momager to her oldest daughter, North West, whom she shares with rapper Kanye 'Ye' West.
According to a source, Kris is excited for Kim to learn about what it takes to manage her daughter.
Kris is also eager to share her knowledge with Kim, as the latter has already experienced how "exhausting" the job can be.
"She's pretty happy that Kim's getting a taste of what it's like and how exhausting it is. Kim's already complaining about all the time it takes out of her own schedule and she's asking Kris for her help," they said.
