The 52-year-old actress, who’s now married to Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden, has never been shy when it comes to her bedroom preferences. Over the years, she’s offered candid, and often jaw-dropping, insights into her sex life, from being “primal” in the sheets to her openness about same-sex attraction.

In a 2010 Playboy interview, recently reshared by Daily Mail, Diaz made waves when she admitted, “Oh gosh, I can't even count how many times I've gotten on a plane for love. It's not unusual in this business; my lifestyle demands it.”

She didn’t mince words either, admitting, “I'm always traveling for c-ck. You've got to go where it is.”

It was during the same interview that she gave readers a glimpse into her more instinctual side.

“I'm primal on an animalistic level, kind of like, 'Bonk me over the head, throw me on your shoulder. You man, me woman.'” Diaz even revealed a fondness for alfresco intimacy, saying, “There's something about moonlight on the body and things happening sort of free and open…”

Physical touch, according to Diaz, is non-negotiable. “I love to cuddle. I love physical contact," she said. "I have to be touching my lover, like, always. It's not optional. It's an absolute. My lover is everything to me.”

According to E! News, during a 2014 appearance on "Chelsea Lately," she brought a mix of humor and real talk to the conversation, stressing the importance of sex education, particularly when it comes to female anatomy.

“For me, the v-gina is such an integral part of the body. We think the v-gina is on the outside,” she said, encouraging others to “learn about it” and “get in there” with consent. She added, “You're supposed to treat it like a beautiful flower, the delicate flower that it is. And you're supposed to nurture it in all the ways that it needs nurturing. It's hungry.”

Diaz has also spoken openly about being attracted to women, telling Glamour in 2014, “I think women are beautiful, absolutely beautiful. I think that all women have been sexually attracted to another woman at some point.”

She reiterated the sentiment in Playboy, “Sexuality and love can be different things. I can be attracted to a woman sexually. But it doesn't mean I want to be in love with a woman.”

She added, “If I'm going to be with a woman sexually, it doesn't mean I'm a lesbian. We put these restraints and definitions on people, but it's hard to define.”

Now married to Madden, who once jokingly admitted he “fears” his famously bold wife, Diaz seems to have embraced a more private lifestyle. They are parents to two children, daughter Raddix, born in December 2019, and son Cardinal, born in March 2024, but they do share minimal details and no photos of their children publicly.

Diaz and Madden credit therapy as a cornerstone of their strong relationship. Diaz has spoken openly about how therapy helps them navigate challenges, emphasizing the importance of both partners giving 100% effort daily.

“Therapy is a big thing in our family, thank God,” she said on an episode of the "Artist Friendly" podcast. “It’s what we depend on, so you have that commitment to work on it.”

She added that the practice allows them to break the cycle of repetition by openly addressing their issues through conversation. “Why didn’t it work? How can I make it work? What’s my part? What’s the other person’s work?” she continued. “Let’s be self-aware and go into the next attempt a little bit more equipped to hopefully come out with a different outcome.”
