LeBron & Bronny James' Alleged Car Crash Accusers Demand Over $280,000

LeBron James and his son Bronny James' alleged car crash accusers want them to dig deep into their pockets for a six-figure sum!

The father and son athletes are now being asked by their accusers to dole out nearly $300k in cash to sort out bills accrued from the alleged car crash.

LeBron James and Bronny James were sued by April Almanza Lopez and Kiara Rae McGillen in October 2024 for a 2022 accident.

April Almanza Lopez and Kiara Rae McGillen are now seeking a significant six-figure sum to cover their medical expenses. The duo had sued LeBron and his son, Bronny, over a car crash that occurred on November 13, 2022, in Littlerock, California.

According to court documents, April reports suffering from multiple injuries, including neck pain, mid-back pain, lower back pain, bilateral shoulder pain, and headaches, with her medical costs totaling approximately $234,582.22. 

Per In Touch, Kiara has also experienced neck pain, mid-back pain, lower back pain, and headaches, listing her medical expenses at $48,007.80. The lawsuit alleged negligence on the part of LeBron and Bronny, claiming that their vehicle crashed into the women while they were passengers in another car.

In the lawsuit, the plaintiffs alleged that LeBron and his son negligently owned and operated a vehicle that was involved in the accident, resulting in injuries and damages to them.

April and Kiara claimed the athletes caused them personal injuries that allegedly resulted in ongoing pain, discomfort, and physical disability. They also claimed to have incurred medical expenses for their treatment and reported significant damage to April's car.

While the exact costs of these repairs are currently unknown, they intended to provide evidence of the expenses during the trial. Additionally, both plaintiffs, who report being employed, claim they suffered wage losses due to the incident.

As part of their lawsuit, they sought unspecified general damages, medical expenses, compensation for the loss of the vehicle, and reimbursement for lost income.

In response to the allegations, LeBron and Bronny denied any wrongdoing. Their attorney argued that if the women experienced any injuries, it stemmed from their own actions rather than from the defendants' conduct.

The lawyer contended that the plaintiffs failed to act as a reasonably prudent person would and that any injuries or damages were unavoidable and not a result of negligence on the part of LeBron and his son. 

Ultimately, they requested that the court dismiss the women's complaint and that they receive no financial settlement from the case. The plaintiff reportedly filed the lawsuit on the same day that LeBron and Bronny made history by sharing the court together in an NBA regular season game.

He particularly noted the significance of the opportunity to play alongside him. In a 2024 interview, LeBron described this experience as the greatest accomplishment of his life, stating that nothing could surpass being on the same court as his son. 

Their journey with the Los Angeles Lakers appears to be a work of late, as LeBron renewed his contract with the team shortly after Bronny was drafted. This remarkable achievement has made them the first father-son duo to compete in the NBA simultaneously, solidifying their place in basketball history.
