Tony Buzbee is continuing his legal battle with Jay-Z as he has filed to dismiss the rapper's lawsuit against him while making fresh claims against him.
Buzbee represents over a hundred alleged Sean "Diddy" Combs victims, including a Jane Doe, who accused Diddy and Jay-Z of raping her in New York in 2000.
Jay-Z strongly fought against those allegations, culminating in the alleged victim dropping her case against him.
Tony Buzbee Files To Dismiss Jay-Z Lawsuit Against Him

Buzbee is fighting back against Jay-Z as he has filed to dismiss the rapper's defamation lawsuit against him in Alabama.
On Monday, the lawyer filed new documents, which TMZ obtained. In the documents, Buzbee claimed Jay-Z bullied his accuser into dropping her rape lawsuit against him.
The attorney argued that Jay-Z filed his defamation lawsuit in the wrong court and didn't specify a legal basis for it.
Buzbee also claimed that he and Jay-Z had an agreement. He stated, "Eventually, the relentless pressure that Mr. Carter and his associates placed upon Doe became too much for her."
Buzbee continued, "On February 4, 2025, an agreement to resolve the litigation was reached between Doe and Mr. Carter, through their attorneys, which included the voluntary dismissal of the SDNY (Southern District of New York) Action."
Jay-Z's Lawyer Denies There Was An Agreement Between The Rapper And Buzbee

Alex Spiro, the attorney representing Jay-Z, described Buzbee's claims that he and his client had an agreement.
He described Buzbee's claims as a "Total lie," adding that the latter "brought a false case, lost badly and was forced to dismiss quickly. End of story."
However, Buzbee's lawyer, Marc E. Kasowitz slammed Spiro, telling TMZ, "Spiro's statement that there was no agreement is a total fabrication. There was an exchange of emails between me and Spiro which set forth the agreement very clearly."
He continued, "As part of that agreement Spiro agreed to withdraw the role 11 motions for sanctions that he had brought against Mr. Buzbee's law firm."
Kasowitz Details How Jay-Z Allegedly Reneged On His Agreement With Tony Buzbee

Kasowitz further shared that Buzbee's team "agreed to withdraw the lawsuit that Jane Doe had brought for rape against Jay-Z and Mr. Combs even though Jane Doe continued to maintain that the allegations in that lawsuit were true, and Jay-Z and Spiro agreed not to send any more people to harass and intimidate Jane Doe and her family.
He added, "One week later Jay-Z and his lawyer breached that agreement flagrantly by sending supposed investigators to harass and intimidate Jane Doe and her family."
Spiro confirmed in court documents that Kasowitz contacted him regarding dismissing the Jane Doe lawsuit against Jay-Z.
He stated that he told Kasowitz Jay-Z "would never settle the lawsuit or pay any money to resolve it, given it was a heinous false accusation."
While Spiro acknowledged that Kasowitz asked them to stop investigating Buzbee's law firm, he denied there was any "explicit agreement" to drop the Jane Doe matter, calling that claim untrue.
Jay-Z’s Rape Accuser Denies Recanting Her Allegations In Leaked Audio

Last month, Jay-Z’s rape accuser pushed back after a released audio recording appeared to show her recanting her allegations.
Jane Doe claimed the audio was manipulated by private investigators hired by the rapper's team.
In the recording, Doe was heard saying that Jay-Z attended the party where the alleged assault occurred but "never engaged in any sexual activity with her."
However, she denied ever making such a statement, stating per TMZ, "I never stated (whether once or 4 times) that Mr. Carter did not assault me."
She also said the investigators came to her home in Alabama without warning and twisted her words during an impromptu interview.
Doe claimed she was "not in any way calm, natural, or at ease" and "trembled the entire time."
Claims Of Pressure From Buzbee Spark Controversy

Jane Doe also addressed another claim made in the recording that her attorney, Tony Buzbee, allegedly pressured her into filing the lawsuit.
While she denied saying that, the audio contains her voice stating Buzbee was the "one that kind of pushed me towards going forward with him, with Jay-Z."
Meanwhile, Buzbee denounced the recording as doctored, telling TMZ, "The tape is a fraud. They tormented and harassed and tricked that poor woman and took what she said out of context and secretly recorded her."
He added, "She stands by her claim that Jay-Z assaulted her. She has never wavered on that point once."
