Kim Kardashian Told Standing In Bikini In A Pool Doesn't Count As 'Swimming'

Kim Kardashian has been challenged over a photo she captioned: "Nite swim in Puglia." In August 2023, the billionaire mogul stripped down to a tiny bikini while enjoying her Italy vacation, posing from shallow waters during a late-night shoot. Modeling her favorite micro swimwear look, Kim flaunted her jaw-dropping figure on Instagram, where fans left her 4 million likes. Despite the post proving popular, Kim landed herself some criticism, both from body-shamers and users thinking that standing in water doesn't constitute swimming. The share also garnered celebrity attention, gaining likes from singer Nicole Scherzinger, supermodel Heidi Klum, and sister Kylie Jenner.

Highlighting the 21 pounds she'd dropped one year prior, the SKIMS founder sizzled in a teeny metallic bikini, rocking a statement gold color as she flashed her cleavage while thigh-deep in a swimming pool.

Lifting her hands to her head, Kim reminded fans of her sculpted arms and shoulders, with a segmented gold detail on one shoulder accentuating the latter.

All golden tan as she stared down the camera's lens, Kim looked her usual confident self. The mom of four also sported a matte layer of makeup, rocking her beloved contour as she flaunted her attractive features and plump pout. Further images in her gallery included lounging poses and terrace moments, closing with fun snaps as Kim got busy with a bicycle complete with a wicker basket.

"Nite swim in Puglia," she wrote, shouting out the destination also adored by talk show host Kelly Ripa. The Daily Mail quickly published the snaps, where over 1,000 users commented.

Noting the "swim" mention, many fans challenged Kim Kardashian's choice of wording. "After spending 2 or 3 hours in hair and makeup, I very much doubt she went swimming," one fan said, gaining over 500 upvotes. Mocking the reality star, another proved popular by writing: "So standing in 2 feet of water with a dry wig is swimming."

Agreeing, a third asked: "While she went for a swim? Let's be real there was no swimming."

Kim Kardashian has made swimwear headlines since. In March, she shared the above photos on Instagram, flaunting her chiseled torso and killer cleavage in a tight bikini and body-hugging skirt. "Spring break," she wrote while going selfie mode in some snaps. Once again, the brunette wound up shamed as a popular comment read: "Kim you're way past your Spring break days. Maybe mid-life crisis break." Others, however, defended the star.
