While the majority of fans are aware of the singer's medical issues, some chose to body-shame her regardless, and photos of her in a cute dress and thigh boots last year resulted in just this. Heading to a talk show as she flaunted her legs in a stylish LBD last February, Selena wound up getting hate, including a comment calling her "too big" for that outfit.

"Not a good look for her," a popular comment read. Over 130 fans agreed with a body-shaming remark, one reading: "She’s too big to dress like this." Selena's statement just one month prior had largely garnered support, particularly given the singer's brave decision to share bikini photos of herself one decade apart as she acknowledged she would "never" look like her old self again. "I like her but too short and dumpy for this style," a further fan said.

Joining in the shaming, a further user stated: "Stunning, yes, but definitely not in a good way. The skirt (particularly) is totally inappropriate for her body shape - and the (er) quantity of her body."

Selena has since fronted media outlets for appearing to have lost weight, with some even speculating that she's been using weight loss drug Ozempic. The newly engaged star has never confirmed using the drug, with most assuming that something's changed in her Lupus medication regimen.
