Tori Spelling's sex tape with Dean McDermott almost leaked after it was stolen from their home by a friend.
The podcaster made the revelation in a recent episode of her podcast, adding that the porn studio the friend had tried to sell it to refused to take it.
Tori Spelling also admitted that, in hindsight, she wasn't entirely opposed to the idea of the video being leaked.
A Friend Stole The X-Rated Video From Tori Spelling And Dean McDermott's Home

In a recent episode of her misSPELLING podcast, Spelling revealed that a sex tape with her ex-husband, McDermott, almost leaked.
The podcaster claimed that she and McDermott decided to film themselves because they "had never done it before" after being married for years.
"It was Valentine's Day or something, and I was in New York," Spelling shared, per the Daily Mail, adding that it happened during "the height" of their fame.
"He was filming a movie, came to visit me, and he was like, 'Hey, let's film ourselves having sex,'" the actress recalled.
After creating the video, the former couple never got to watch it, as they had forgotten all about it. Hence, they were shocked when they received a call from a porn studio claiming they had the sex tape.
According to Spelling, a friend whom they had allowed to stay in their home while they went on vacation had found the tape on their computer and tried to sell it to the porn studio.
The Actress Sometimes Wishes The Tape Leaked

Fortunately for Spelling and her ex, the porn studio informed them that they "didn't accept it," to which the podcaster claimed she jokingly responded with, "Were my angles not good?"
Ultimately, they were able to "get a restraining order" on the friend who broke their trust, and they "got all of it back and everything."
Since the incident, Spelling has reflected many times on it, adding that she sometimes wished it had ended up being leaked.
"I don't believe in regrets," she shared. "But I'm bummed I said no to Playboy and now at 51, I wish I had been on the cover of f--king Playboy!"
The "Beverly Hills, 90210" star added, "I was doing it with my husband, and we were together. I should have let that sex tape go out."
Tori Spelling Discusses Her Fear Of Dying Alone Amid Divorce From Dean McDermott

In a different episode, Spelling got candid about divorcing McDermott and how she hasn't been able to find love since their split.
"I'm now 51 and single again with five kids," said Spelling, who separated from McDermott in March 2024 after nearly two decades of marriage.
She added, "So, I don't even know where I stand in the future. I just don't want to be alone. I don't want to die alone. I don't know what I'm doing right now."
Spelling has remained relatively single since her split from McDermott. She was romantically linked to advertising CEO Ryan Cramer, but they seem to have gone their separate ways.
McDermott, on the other hand, has been in a committed relationship with Lily Calo, a senior account executive at a health brand in California.
The Former Couple Remains 'Really Amicable'

Despite her split from McDermott, Spelling remains "really amicable" with her estranged husband amid their co-parenting arrangement.
"We're really amicable," Spelling shared with People Magazine at the Gala of the Stars event at the Beverly Hilton in October 2024.
She added, "I know in Hollywood people think divorces have to be ugly, ours are not. We co-parent really well, we're good friends, and he's one of my biggest supporters."
Tori Spelling Says Her Eldest Daughter Helps With Some Responsibilities

In the past, Spelling has also discussed how being a single mother of five children often feels overwhelming.
On one occasion, she revealed that her eldest daughter, Stella, helps out, especially when she is unavailable due to work.
"When I'm working and I'm gone all day, it falls a lot on my 16-year-old to really oversee the family," the actress said at the time, per the Daily Mail.
According to the actress, leaving Stella to pick up the slack doesn't sit well with her. She also confessed that, contrary to what people might think, she has no hired help working for her.
"I feel really guilty when I come home at the end of the day," Spelling added. "People have babysitters or nannies or housekeepers or things like that, but we're just us — I know that's probably really hard for the public to understand, but it's true."
