Clarkson, who relocated to New York City for the show's production, was noticeably absent from her hosting duties last month for a span of about two weeks.

It was later revealed that the reason for her absence was that she had to handle a "personal matter" at the time, with guest hosts like Andy Cohen, Simu Liu, and Kal Penn needing to step in for her.

The "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" singer was said to be "completely fine" but had been "dealing with a personal matter that does not directly involve her," sources told TMZ at the time.

Clarkson has previously opened up about how tough it was to go through her divorce from ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, with whom she shares her two children.

The pair first met at a rehearsal for the Academy of Country Music Awards in May 2006 but wed in October 2013 before Clarkson filed for divorce from the music manager in 2020, citing irreconcilable differences.

Speaking to People Magazine in January 2024, Clarkson called her divorce from Blackstock "extraordinarily hard."

"You feel alone, and it's just a blessing to be able to have that outlet for those emotions that are overwhelming," she said, referencing her album "Chemistry."

Back in 2020, she revealed that the well-being of her children was far more important to her than "anything else on this planet."
