Steven Tyler is calling out his accuser for distracting him!
The rockstar claimed his sexual assault accuser, Julia Misley, interfered with his plans to raise money for a good cause when she came forward with the allegations.
In 2022, Steven faced legal action from Misley, also known as Julia Holcomb, who filed a lawsuit against him. The allegations included claims of sexual battery, sexual assault, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
Steven Tyler Claims His Accuser’s Behavior Violated Rules Of The Ongoing Case

Tyler has accused Misley, who has filed a sexual assault lawsuit against him, of hindering his efforts to raise funds for Los Angeles firefighters following recent wildfires.
According to court documents, Tyler claims that Misley and her legal team deliberately engage in behavior that he believes is detrimental to the ongoing litigation.
He specifically points to a letter Misley sent to Erewhon, a company with which he had a fundraising collaboration, asserting that her actions violate court rules concerning truthful statements.
As a result, the rock legend is seeking a $15,000 sanction against her for this alleged interference. Tyler’s lawyer described the troubling misconduct of Julia’s lawyer.
As reported by In Touch, the attorney suggested that it not only reflects poorly on her but also raises serious concerns about her law firm.
The lawyer pointed out the irony in their actions, as they profess to stand up for abused women while simultaneously undermining charitable efforts designed to support and uplift victims. This contradiction, he argued, poses a significant danger to those they claim to advocate for.

In the aftermath of the devastating wildfires that ravaged Southern California in 2025, Tyler was deeply moved by the destruction and the bravery displayed by the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
His lawyer noted that this experience inspired the artist to leverage his celebrity status to raise funds for both the heroic firefighters. He also wanted to extend the financial aid to Janie’s Fund, a charitable organization dedicated to aiding young women and girls who have faced abuse and neglect.
To support these causes, Tyler collaborated with Erewhon, a luxury grocery store, to create and sell special soft-serve sundaes that featured his name and celebrated two of Aerosmith's biggest hits. The proceeds from these sales were intended to benefit the firefighters and survivors of abuse.
However, in February, Misley’s legal team sent a letter to Erewhon, demanding the removal of the sundaes and citing allegations against the star. Tyler’s team contended that the letter attempted to disrupt his charitable efforts.

In 2022, Misley sued Tyler for sexual battery, sexual assault, and emotional distress. The accuser claimed they met at an Aerosmith concert when she was 16 and Steven was 25.
She alleged that he invited her to his hotel room and committed acts of sexual misconduct. They subsequently began a relationship. Misley continued that Tyler once asked her mother to sign paperwork granting him guardianship over her, which her mother ultimately refused.
She described experiences traveling with the rockstar, during which he allegedly supplied her with drugs and alcohol and repeatedly assaulted her.
In her filing, the accuser stated that she became pregnant with the rockstar’s child in 1975, and he urged her to have an abortion. He reportedly feared the child could be born with defects due to an apartment fire they were involved in.
Misley referenced parts of the singer’s 2011 memoir in her lawsuit, highlighting a section where he mentioned almost marrying a "teen bride.”
Tyler noted that the girl's parents had "fallen in love" with him. He also said that the parents had signed over custody to him to prevent any legal issues if he took her out of state while on tour.

The performer firmly denied all allegations of wrongdoing against him and insisted that the emotional distress claim should be dismissed before the case could move forward.
He also maintained that his memoir was protected under the First Amendment. In defense of his position, Tyler’s lawyer criticized Misley’s portrayal of their previously public, multi-year relationship.
The attorney suggested that her claims misrepresented the facts and oversimplified a complex situation. The judge agreed with Tyler’s stance, dismissing the emotional distress claim and ruling in his favor.
As a result, Tyler was awarded $115,000 in legal fees for defending himself. However, the artist accused Misley of not making any payments on the judgment since the ruling.
Steven Tyler Was Accused Of Sexual Assault By Another Person In 2023

As shared by The Blast, a woman named Jeanne Bellino in 2023 stated that in 1975, at just 17 years old, a 27-year-old Tyler assaulted her.
It all happened when a friend set her up to meet the band Aerosmith after a fashion presentation in Manhattan. She claimed the singer and his group were taking a walk down the street together when he pushed her into a phone booth and proceeded to grope her.
He also simulated intercourse and shoved his "tongue down her throat" while his bandmates laughed and did not attempt to stop him or save her from the assault.
Bellino noted that the incident occurred at the Warwick Hotel, where she went with Aerosmith. She explained that her decision to follow the group to the hotel was driven by a shared ride arrangement with a friend, as they were splitting costs to return to Queens.
In her lawsuit, she claimed the experience caused significant mental and physical pain, leading to lasting emotional distress and various personal injuries.
