Joe Rogan Isn't Wrong When It Comes To Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni
By Kristin Myers on March 27, 2025 at 11:00 PM EDT
Joe Rogan had a lot to say about Blake Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, for their lawsuit against Justin Baldoni.
Many have expressed support for the actor and director, whom Lively accused of sexual harassment and body shaming on the set of "It Ends With Us."
Baldoni, meanwhile, has accused Lively of trying to wrestle creative control of the film away from him and countered her claims with a $400 million lawsuit against the actress, her husband, and their publicist.
Joe Rogan Gives His Opinion On The Justin Baldoni, Blake Lively Legal Feud

As previously reported by The Blast, Rogan gave his unfiltered opinion on the legal drama during a recent episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience.” Rogan didn’t hesitate to take aim against Lively and Reynolds, narrowing in on their claim that the lawsuit has “ruined their reputation” in Hollywood.
"They f-cked up," Rogan said. "Ryan's trying to get out of it now. He's trying to get out of the lawsuit, and they're like, 'you are a key part of this.'"
He agreed with Baldoni’s lawsuit, which asserts that Lively and Reynolds were working together to try to take creative control of the film.
"The whole thing's crazy," he continued. "Baldoni's suing the New York Times, and he's got a great case there, too."
Rogan Calls Justin Baldoni A ‘Really Sweet, Nice Guy’

Although it’s unclear if the pair has ever met, Rogan agreed with his guest, Brandan Schaub, who argued that Baldoni needs to fight aggressively in court in order to clear his name.
Rogan added, “Especially, a guy like that who's, like, known for being a really sweet, nice guy, and then he's, like, 'Alright, enough.'"
He also praised Baldoni for being willing to take them on, noting that many Hollywood celebrities would be too “scared” to take on the A-list couple directly.
Joe Rogan Is Glad Justin Baldoni Is Releasing ‘Receipts’

It seems that Baldoni is winning in the court of public opinion, most likely due to the fact that he had created a website that posted alleged text messages, amid other “receipts” that showed that Lively wasn’t telling the whole story with her claims.
One of the allegations that Lively made was that Baldoni barged into her trailer while she was breastfeeding; however, text messages show that she actually invited him into her trailer to discuss a scene while she was pumping.
"You literally have a text exchange back and forth," Rogan continued. "They just never thought that anybody was going to come out with the receipts."
Blake Lively Had A ‘Secret Plan’ To Take Over The Movie

It’s hard to deny that the “Gossip Girl” alum had a “secret plan” to take over the film when she actually admitted to it during the Forbes Power Women’s Summit in 2022. At the time, she explained how she would pretend to be content with her role as an actress before slowly exerting her influence behind the scenes.
“When I was in the meetings, I was like, I’m just here to be the actor, and I’m here to get the gig. I wouldn’t reveal that I needed to have authorship to feel fulfilled,” Lively explained. “And I feel for them, it felt like a rug pull, and you’re trying to insert yourself into something we didn’t hire you to do.”
Lively went on to say that she sometimes butted heads with directors and costars for not announcing her intentions ahead of her casting. “Sometimes I had the director, writers, producers who would welcome that once I was able to offer that, and sometimes I had people who resented that, because they just hired me to be the actor," she said.
Blake Lively May Not Have Been Telling The Whole Truth In Her Lawsuit

There are many instances where things Lively has claimed do not match with the “receipts” that Baldoni has provided. In one part of her lawsuit, Lively alleges that he tried to body shame her post-pregnancy when he asked her personal trainer how much she weighed.
However, in his court documents, Baldoni provided text messages showing that he tried to find out her weight in order to pull off a lift sequence. Baldoni, who had multiple bulging discs in his back, wanted to know how much he had to train for in order to pull off the lift sequence without injury.
Not only does Lively never mention his previous back injury, but she also claims that the lift sequence never existed. However, Baldoni’s team has provided evidence of edited scripts and rehearsal footage with choreographers to show that a lift sequence was planned for the film before it was ultimately scrapped.
Joe Rogan Is Right About This One

Although Joe Rogan can be a polarizing figure, it seems that the writing is on the wall as far as the evidence goes. Lively has made claims, but Baldoni has seemingly countered each one with physical evidence that provides much-needed context to her accusations.
Rogan is also right about another thing: Baldoni is going to have to fight aggressively in court to clear his name. Being a victim of sexual harassment is one thing, but being falsely accused of such is even worse, especially where his children are concerned.
Although the trial is not set until March 2026, Baldoni’s career will continue to suffer until his name is cleared, much like Johnny Depp’s did after Amber Heard’s accusations. Meanwhile, Lively has already put out a new movie – “Another Simply Favor” – and with Reynolds secure as his Deadpool character, it seems the two might not actually face any repercussions for their accusations…
…unless a jury decides otherwise.
