Jenna Ortega made a memorable appearance on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" Tuesday night, dazzling in a show-stopping Oscar de la Renta mini-dress and dishing details about the much-anticipated second season of 'Wednesday.'
Styled by Enrique Melendez, Jenna Ortega wore a $13,000 red mosaic dress from the designer’s fall 2025 collection.

Though inspired by stained glass, the piece was crafted from a tough plastic rather than the real (and sharp) thing, though Ortega admitted it wasn’t exactly comfortable.
“I’m not going to lie, sometimes there’s like pieces of it that are poking my a--,” she quipped to Colbert, following his compliment of the elaborate design.
“Every time I sit,” she added as the audience laughed. Colbert jokingly responded, “Let’s have some medics stand by,” to which Ortega replied, “I feel uncomfortable and extremely comfortable at the same time.”
The bold, rose-inspired look featured dramatic red floral appliqués at the neckline and waist, which Ortega paired with a simple pendant necklace and black strappy heels. Her beauty look echoed the theme, with a vampy red lip and her dark brunette hair subtly tinted red to match the cherry-colored ensemble.

During her interview, Ortega also shared exciting news about "Wednesday" Season 2, confirming that none other than Lady Gaga will be making a cameo in the hit Netflix series. “So, we’ve got Lady Gaga joining our show,” she revealed, prompting wild applause from the audience. “We are so, so unbelievably excited.”
According to Variety, Gaga’s appearance will be brief, but her involvement marks another high-profile addition to her growing acting résumé.
Fresh off her starring role in "Joker: Folie à Deux" opposite Joaquin Phoenix, Gaga continues to evolve her screen presence. She was previously nominated for an Oscar for her leading role in "A Star Is Born" and won Best Original Song for “Hold My Hand” from "Top Gun: Maverick."
Her past acting credits also include "House of Gucci" and multiple seasons of "American Horror Story."

Talk of Gaga joining Wednesday has been circulating ever since Ortega’s now-iconic dance scene in Season 1 went viral on TikTok, remixed to Gaga’s “Bloody Mary.”
In an earlier interview with Variety, Ortega commented, “I’m sure Netflix would love” for Gaga to be part of the series.
“It’s really strange,” Ortega said about the "Born This Way" singer joining the “Wednesday” TikTok trend. “You know what’s funny? A long time ago I worked with a hairdresser that worked with Gaga and I just had seen Gaga in concert a few years before. [The hairdresser got] Gaga [to make] me a video saying she heard I was a fan. Gaga made me a sweet video. I doubt she remembers."
She added, "But to see her to do that now…it’s one of those moments you realize life changes really fast.”
