After surviving drug abuse and a horrifying four-wheeler accident in 2003, it was a fall in his own home that Ozzy Osbourne thought would be the end of him.
The rock legend told The Sun all about the incident, and its aftermath.
In January, Osbourne got out of his bed to use the bathroom when he tripped on a rug and fell face-first, forcing his neck back violently.
“I thought I was paralyzed. I didn’t freak out, I just lay there knowing it was really bad. Sharon came down and I told her to phone for an ambulance. I went straight in and had an MRI.
“I then didn’t leave for months. I needed surgery to cut through the nerves.”
As a result, he had to undergo surgery to put 15 screws in his spine. After the operation, Osbourne thought his life was over.
Osbourne told The Sun, “I was in absolute shock. I was convinced that Sharon knew something I didn’t. I thought I was dying. I have never felt so bad in my life. It was f–king agony.”
:“Sharon was saying, ‘You’ve got to get out of bed’. I would say, ‘What’s the point, I’m dying’,” He continued. “There were many times I thought, ‘I’m done.’ I was scared. I thought that was it.”
Thankfully, Osbourne emerged from the recovery and is now back to making music again. He is currently organizing a solo tour that is set to kick off in February.
