Jaime King reportedly faces a major financial setback while dealing with the emotional fallout of losing custody of her children. The actress has allegedly been forced to vacate her Los Angeles rental home after accumulating over $42,000 in unpaid rent.

Jamie King had previously moved into the $10,000-a-month Hollywood Hills property after selling her longtime Beverly Hills home for $2 million following her 2022 divorce.

King's financial woes continue to mount as she was reportedly forced to leave her Los Angeles rental home after falling behind on rent.

The star signed a lease for the property in April 2023, agreeing to pay $10,145 monthly. However, court documents reveal she stopped making payments in January and now owes approximately $42,580 in back rent.

King's landlord, Sheila Irani, reportedly took legal action earlier this year, accusing the 45-year-old of breaching their contract. Irani even locked King out of the property, alleging she had been staying there "maliciously" as an unlawful detainer.

US Weekly reports that the two eventually reached a settlement, with King agreeing to vacate by March 22, turn over the keys, and leave the home in good condition. As part of the deal, she also waived her right to her security deposit.

The 'Hart Of Dixie' Star Blames Wildfires And Custody Battle For Unpaid Rent

Before they reached an agreement, King's attorney pushed back against her landlord's claims, arguing that King faced unavoidable hardships that prevented her from keeping up with payments. Her legal team insisted:

"King has attempted to raise funds for the back due rent, but claims unavoidable hardship due to the L.A. wildfires and distracted by active litigation."

They revealed that King had repeatedly expressed her intent to pay the back rent directly to Irani, but was set back due to the Nichols Canyon fire, which forced her to evacuate. Her attorney also pointed out that the eviction could negatively impact her custody case, stating:

The Model Reportedly Downsizes Amid Financial Struggles

King's financial troubles have allegedly forced her to move into a more affordable home. The Blast highlighted in a previous report that the star's belongings, including furniture, a wooden daybed, and even a mini trampoline, were spotted piled up on the curb as she relocated to a smaller, budget-friendly space.

Additionally, a source revealed that King has been battling money issues for years, and her heated custody dispute with ex-husband Kyle Newman has only made things worse.

"She has been struggling with her finances for years now after some failed film ventures, but the custody fight and having to fight all the accusations made against her in court drained her bank accounts," the insider claimed.

Despite her ex-husband, Kyle Newman, gaining primary custody and full decision-making authority, King has been granted the right to see her children under strict conditions.

The mother-of-two is allowed supervised visits with her sons three times a week. These visits can be monitored by specific family members, including her mother, sister, brother-in-law, and Newman's brother, Kevin.

However, regaining full parental rights will not be easy. King must complete a series of court-mandated requirements before she can seek unsupervised visits.

She is required to undergo a 6-month drug and alcohol rehabilitation program, submit to regular testing, and attend a 26-week parenting course.

She must also participate in individual therapy and may need to engage in counseling sessions with her children before the court reconsiders her custody rights.

King's road to regaining custody of her two sons is filled with obstacles, and her ex-husband is not backing down in his claims against her.

As part of his 2024 court filing, Newman painted a disturbing picture of the children's time in King's care, alleging they were left emotionally distressed by their living conditions.

Newman recalled a heartbreaking phone call from their sons, James and Leo, who were reportedly in tears and begging him to pick them up.

When he arrived at King's home early that morning, he described a troubling scene, King sitting on the floor in a varsity jacket, her hair styled in pigtails, and seemingly wearing nothing else.

Adding to his concerns, Newman claimed two men were present in the home and that King appeared exhausted and disoriented from drinking.

He alleged that she needed his help to stand and then made an unsettling remark, saying, "Those are bad boys. We have to do something about our boys. Their behavior is not right."
