However, Worthy is not holding back in his fight against his ex-fiancée, Tia Jones.
Weeks after his arrest on domestic violence charges and subsequent release, the wide receiver has chosen to pursue legal actions against Jones and filed a lawsuit against her on Monday.
In court documents obtained by TMZ, Worthy claimed Jones fabricated the allegations of domestic violence against him so she could "extort a home, money, cars, and other valuables" from him.
Worthy also alleged that he is the real victim and claimed that Jones became violent and "extortive" after he discovered she cheated on him.
According to the footballer, Jones refused to leave their home in Williamson County after he repeatedly asked her to do so due to her infidelity.
He claimed he offered to get her an apartment so she could "get back on her feet" but she refused and "became enraged and engaged in a series of abusive, extortive efforts."

Worthy further alleged that Jones proceeded to destroy his game room on March 7.
He claimed she broke his desk and a PlayStation 5 before scratching his face and ripping huge chunks of his hair from his head.
According to Worthy, his ex-fiancée cooked up a story claiming he repeatedly abused her in the petition she filed to get a protective order.
He also claimed she "stole or destroyed over $150,000 worth of [his] personal property and cash from residence" while he was in police custody following his arrest after their domestic altercation.
Worthy further alleged that Jones exhibited similar behavior in at least one of her previous high-profile relationships.
The athlete sued his ex for over $250,000 in damages, noting that her actions harmed not just his body and property "but his credibility, veracity, and reputation" as well.
Tia Jones Granted Protective Order

Xavier Worthy's lawsuit against Jones comes almost two weeks after a Texas Judge granted her protective order.
Jones' attorneys confirmed the judge's decision in a statement to the Associated Press, noting that she was "fully cooperating with law enforcement" as investigations into the alleged assault incident continued.
Her lawyer, Angelica Cogliano, also said, "Ms. Jones has chosen to use her voice to speak up for herself.
She added, "In doing so, she looks forward to the facts and circumstances of that night coming to light through the formal legal process and getting the justice that she deserves."

In Jones' legal filing, which TMZ obtained, she accused the NFL player of physically abusing her five times over the past year.
She claimed the first incident occurred in October 2024 when Worthy pushed her to the ground.
Jones also alleged that he choked and slammed her during an argument in December and grabbed her throat on Valentine's Day.
The most severe alleged incident led to Worthy's March 7th arrest, where she claimed he threw her against walls and choked her so violently she "felt like I was going to die." Jones also said Worthy even placed his knee on her throat.

The Blast reported Worthy's arrest on suspicion of domestic violence. He was held without bail following his arrest until he saw a judge.
However, Worthy regained his freedom after Williamson County District Attorney declined pursuing a case against the footballer after furtther investigation by the Sheriff's Office and discussions with a third-party witness.
Following his arrest, Worthy's attorneys Chip Lewis and Sam Bassett said in a statement per NFL.com, "We are aware of the allegation that led to Mr. Worthy's arrest. We are working with law enforcement in Williamson County to ensure they have the benefit of the totality of circumstances that led to this allegation."
They added, "The complainant was asked multiple times over the last two weeks to vacate Mr. Worthy's residence upon discovery of her infidelity, which a private investigator has video evidence of. She has refused to vacate the residence and made a number of extortive efforts prior to resorting to this baseless allegation against Mr. Worthy. The complainant further destroyed a room in the residence, scratched Mr. Worthy's face and ripped out parts of his hair, which there is photographic evidence of."
The attorneys concluded, "Mr. Worthy told law enforcement at the time of the incident he did not want to press charges against the complainant. We will continue to cooperate with Williamson County authorities as we have full faith their thorough investigation will support Mr. Worthy's innocence."
