Pop star Meghan Trainor recently stunned fans with a striking new look that had social media buzzing.
The "All About That Bass" singer, known for her early body positivity anthems, took to Instagram with a photoshoot that showcased her slimmer figure and an edgier style, leaving fans both impressed and divided.
Wearing a sheer chiffon dress layered over a white tee, Meghan Trainor completed the look with matching arm and leg warmers and white leather shark boots.

While many praised her fashion-forward ensemble, the conversation quickly turned toward her apparent weight loss.
“You know I won’t be no stick-figure, silicone Barbie doll,” one commenter wrote, referencing the lyrics that helped launch Trainor into stardom in 2014.
Others were more direct, questioning her transformation with remarks like “Where did all the bass go?” and “LMFAO body positive until you can get your hands on Ozempic [laughing face emoji].”
Not all reactions were critical, though. Supportive fans filled her comments with compliments like “looking beautiful” and “That’s MOTHER.”

Trainor, now 31, has been transparent about her health and body journey. After giving birth to her first child, Riley, with husband Daryl Sabara in 2021, the singer found herself struggling physically and emotionally.
“I was, like, over 200 pounds when I C-sectioned him out,” Trainor revealed in a 2022 interview with ET Canada. “I just wasn’t feeling great. I’ve never had stitches, so to have this C-section scar, I was in a really dark place and I wanted to be in a great place for my son.”
She shared that over time, a revamped diet and workout routine helped her drop 60 pounds and reclaim her confidence. “I began to feel better than ever,” she said.
Meghan Trainor Gets Candid About Cosmetic Surgery

But Trainor’s transformation didn’t end with weight loss.
Earlier this year, she opened up about undergoing a breast lift and augmentation with Motiva Implants, a decision she said was fueled by both motherhood and her changing body.
“As you know, I’m in a super busy chapter of my life. I’ve been touring, working and mommy-ing really hard, so recently I’ve decided to do something just for me: I got a breast lift and augmentation with Motiva Implants. Finally!”
She admitted that she had “always struggled” with her natural breasts. “I got them done because they were never even; they were always saggy my whole life,” she said.
Her choice of Motiva Implants was intentional. “I wanted to make sure I had a very natural look and feel,” Trainor explained. She highlighted the SmoothSilk Ergonomix implants for their ability to “adapt to movement, making them feel more like natural breast tissues.”
Trainor Reclaims Her Body And Confidence

Though she acknowledged that surgery was “not an easy decision,” Trainor said she was reassured by the brand’s low rate of complications. “I love my results so much,” she said. “My breasts look fuller yet completely natural and they compliment my body proportions beautifully.”
Married since 2018, Trainor and Sabara, 32, are also parents to 1-year-old Barry, expanding their family while Trainor navigates one of the busiest and most self-empowering eras of her life.
Meghan Trainor Reflects On Her Body Positivity Journey

Meghan Trainor has long been celebrated as a champion of body positivity, thanks in large part to her breakout anthem “All About That Bass,” which turned self-love into a chart-topping movement. But in a candid moment of reflection, the Grammy winner admitted that even she has had to reexamine her beliefs after experiencing the emotional and physical challenges of pregnancy and postpartum life.
In a 2023 interview with Yahoo! Life, Trainor opened up about the deep-rooted influences that shaped her self-image—and the work she’s doing to break the cycle.
“There was a lot of bad self-talk in my household [growing up],” she revealed. “My mom is very hard on herself and my dad is like a jokester, but not in a good way. If he’s trying to give you advice on something, he’ll kind of pick on you and that’s his way of like, helping you. But it’s traumatic. I took him to therapy back in the day so he knows.”
