Hilaria Baldwin Called Out For Being 'Not Nice' To Husband Alec: 'You Made Him Look Like A Child'

It seems Hilaria Baldwin is not setting the example she thought she did when she called out her husband, Alec Baldwin, at a recent red carpet event.

After she snapped at him at a red carpet event, she then took to Instagram in order to make him apologize for interrupting her. And, strangely enough, social media is actually coming to the "Rust" actor's defense despite the years of backlash he has received for the 2021 shooting and his political views.

On March 11, the couple showed up to Planet Hollywood's reopening in New York City and was talking about their TLC reality show, “The Baldwins” on the red carpet. Hilaria was talking to an Extra correspondent when Alec came up to her, saying, “It’s going to be great” and calling his wife a “winner.”

“Oh, my God. When I’m talking, you’re not talking. No. When I’m talking, you’re not talking,” Hilaria snapped before adding that she was going to “have to just cut him out of the show.” She also mentioned that some of his silly behavior with his children was also cut out of the show.

Later in the interview, Hilaria accuses him of “distracting” her, snapping, “Oh, my God, stop. You’re annoying me. Stop. It’s not cute. No, it’s distracting me.” When Alec says that he is captivated by her “beauty,” she literally rolls her eyes and threatens to leave the interview before he meanders away.

Despite an Instagram post that was captioned with the hashtag “Marriage Goals,” Hilaria proceeded to make the interaction more awkward by bringing a camera into their bedroom to discuss the incident further. Although many of her comments in the past have been negative towards the “30 Rock” actor, they were quick to defend him.

“I’m sorry but you made him look like a child on national TV,” one user wrote.

“The word of the day is rude. You were rude to your husband,” another netizen pointed out.

“Sounds like she is treating him like one of his seven kids,” a third user commented.

“She always wants to be right about everything and front and center,” another fan wrote. “I don’t know how he takes that from her.”

“He’s got to be exhausted from being spoken down to all the time,” another follower commented.

“This must be their idea of damage control!” another user exclaimed.

“She just doesn’t look or act like she’s in love with him,” another netizen wrote while another person called her behavior “textbook gaslighting.”

“I cannot wait for SNL to do a skit about the two of you!” another user exclaimed, although it’s unclear if Alec would play himself in such a role.

If that wasn’t enough, Hilaria turned the camera back on when they were in bed to keep hammering home the idea that the “Supercell” actor was in the wrong for interrupting her on the red carpet. However, her followers in the comment section still weren’t having it.

“Damage control much, Mrs. Baldwin?” one user asked.

“Sorry… I wish you were nicer and kinder towards him. It comes through on TV,” another netizen commented.

“My guess is that the marriage does not survive this reality show and if it does survive, it’s only because they have so many kids,” a third user chimed in. “I cannot imagine treating my husband with so much disrespect (and he would never treat me with that level of disrespect).”

“You are not nice to him and it shows,” another follower added.

Other fans encouraged the couple to stop the TV show and go back to leading a quiet life with their seven children. “Please go back to private life. Cherish and enjoy. No one needs to know your private life,” one fan commented.

“We really don’t need to be in your bed with you. Boundaries are important,” another netizen chimed in.

Many users also criticized the couple for trying to monetize their children after they recently announced that their 11-year-old daughter, Carmen, was releasing her own beauty book.
