Rachel Zegler is showing love to her "Snow White" “family," but one high-profile name was missing from the tribute.
To celebrate the release of Disney’s live action "Snow White," Rachel Zegler took to Instagram to reflect on the four-year journey of bringing the iconic story to life.

While Zegler shared heartfelt memories and praised several cast and crew members, she made no mention of her co-star Gal Gadot, who plays the Evil Queen opposite her "Snow White."
“This movie was a life-changing experience that has held about four years of my career,” Zegler wrote on March 20 alongside a series of behind-the-scenes photos. “The growing up you do from the age of twenty (when I was cast) to twenty-three (the age I am now) cannot be accurately described, yet they exist here on film forever.”
Rachel Zegler Reflects On 'Becoming a Real Adult' Filming 'Snow White'

Zegler, who gained international fame for her breakout role in 2021’s "West Side Story" and recently starred in "Juliet" on Broadway, added that she "became a real adult" during the filming process.
“I learned hard lessons, did hard things, laughed, cried, turned 21, lived across the ocean from my family, made new friends, and completely fell in love with this group of people I got to work with for three magical summers in London,” she shared.
The post included various snapshots from the set, highlighting moments with director Marc Webb, choreographers, camera crew, and fellow cast members like Dujonna Gift and Andrew Burnap. Gadot, however, was absent from all of the shared memories.

Zegler followed up with a second Instagram post on March 21, showcasing more of the team behind "Snow White," writing, “It takes a village to bring stories like 'Snow White' to the big screen and I loved this one so very much.” Once again, no mention or photo of Gadot appeared.
In another carousel, Zegler praised her glam squad and publicists for supporting her during the film’s global press tour.
The snub comes amid ongoing speculation about tension between the two leading ladies. A source previously told PEOPLE that the pair have “nothing in common,” citing an “age gap” and “very different political views” as contributing factors to their strained relationship.
“They did a job together and that’s it,” said one insider, though they emphasized that Gadot “enjoyed filming” and was “fine with Rachel.”
Rachel Zegler’s 'Snow White' Comments Reportedly Didn’t Sit Well With Co-Star Gal Gadot

Since being cast as Disney’s newest "Snow White" in 2021, Zegler has faced a steady stream of controversy, much of it centered around her outspoken views and the studio’s modern reimagining of the beloved classic.
The "West Side Story" breakout star, who is of Colombian and Polish descent, initially faced racist backlash from some corners of the internet after her casting as the iconic princess, a traditionally white role. But the criticism didn’t stop there. Zegler stirred further debate after publicly calling the original 1937 animated film “dated” and revealing that the live-action remake would shift focus away from the love story in favor of a more independent, empowered "Snow White."
That messaging, insiders say, didn’t sit well with her co-star Gal Gadot, who plays the Evil Queen. According to PEOPLE, Gadot “does not agree with Zegler’s approach to the film’s discourse.”
“Gal’s attitude is that you don’t criticize and cause drama for a project you signed on to do. She just doesn’t get it,” one insider told the outlet.
Disney Reportedly Struggling To Contain Rachel Zegler Controversy

Sources also claim that Disney executives have grown increasingly concerned over the ongoing controversies and Zegler’s public behavior.
“Disney’s lead actress is out of control,” a studio source told Page Six. “They don’t know what to do … she’s an outspoken 20-something, and Disney chiefs have called her directly and asked her to tone down her posts. They’ve called her management, but she won’t listen.”
Neither Zegler nor Gadot have directly addressed the rumors, but fans have noticed subtle signs of distance, including Zegler omitting Gadot from recent behind-the-scenes tributes on social media celebrating the film’s release.
"Snow White" is now playing in theaters.
