'Selling Sunset' Christine Quinn's Lawyer Wants Out Of Her Divorce Case Amid Marriage Revelation

Christine Quinn has experienced a significant setback in her ongoing divorce from Christian Dumontet, and the signal is directly from her inner circle. It looks like the "Selling Sunset" alum's lawyer wants nothing to do with her!

Christine Quinn and Christian Dumontet have been stuck in a contentious divorce battle since 2024, right after he was arrested for domestic assault. The new development is coming amid the realtor breaking her silence about her experience in her marriage.

The divorce lawyer representing the reality TV star has requested permission from a judge to withdraw from representing her due to a significant breakdown in their attorney-client relationship.

Court documents reveal that Quinn's lawyer, Hossein Berenji, has sought an emergency hearing to address the matter. He stated that the relationship has become "completely and irreconcilably broken," making it impossible to continue representing her. 

In Touch confirmed that a hearing has been scheduled for April 15. There, Berenji will present his case for withdrawing from the representation of his client, who has been in court, battling her divorce for almost a year.

Quinn and her estranged husband began their nasty legal battle following their split in 2024, just five years after their marriage in 2019. The conflict began when the police intervened after the reality star accused Dumontet of throwing a bag of glass that accidentally struck their son.

Although the software engineer denied it, he was still taken into custody on an assault with a deadly weapon charge but was soon released after posting bond.

In the aftermath of these events, Dumontet filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences" and requesting sole custody of their son, as well as the termination of his ex-wife's right to spousal support.

The legal squabble further intensified as both parties sought restraining orders against each other. The court granted Quinn a temporary restraining order, mandating that her baby daddy stay at least 100 yards away. The author also won exclusive use of their home in Los Angeles.

The former "Selling Sunset" got candid about the sequence of events that led to the demise of her marriage to her ex-husband. 

As shared by The Blast, the reality star found a new lease of life in Texas with their three-year-old son, George. She reflected on the damaging effect her past in Los Angeles has had on her.

Although some people in her circle were privy to her trials and marital troubles, only a handful understood the severity of the situation.

They were compounded by her estranged husband's legal problems, including an arrest for alleged domestic violence involving their son and the violation of an emergency protective order.

This unpleasant situation triggered her and her son to leave their Los Angeles home and find solace in the warmth of Texas. She reminisced on the hardships and discomfort that followed her big move, including staying in hotels and sleeping on her friends' couches.

Quinn also emphasized the difficulty of being displaced and lacking access to her accounts, which her ex had taken control of. This left her feeling stripped of her identity and resources. In her words:

"I was hacked out of my entire life. I was stripped of my entire life overnight — I literally had nothing. And it was dehumanizing."

While she may have failed to keep her marriage intact, Quinn admitted that Texas was the best thing to have happened to her and George.

By relocating to Texas, she has started to rebuild her life successfully. Living near Dallas has provided her relief and gratitude; she is now closer to family, including her sister and her son's cousin. 

Quinn noted that their new normal is a great step away from the dark clouds of Los Angeles. George is reportedly enjoying their fresh start and enjoying their new home's joy.

Nevertheless, the pain of trying and failing at emulating a perfect marriage like that of her parents is still a heavy weight for Quinn to carry. She initially struggled to accept that there was no saving her union, but ultimately, her son's peace and sanctity took precedence.

The mother-of-one took accountability for their various roles in the union's decline. She noted that the significant issues were held together by equally destructive smaller ones they overlooked.

She recounted several instances of toxicity and marriage and the unhealthiness of the relationship, particularly highlighting her ex-husband's controlling behavior.

Quinn described troubling incidents where he would lie underneath her car to block her from leaving for work, causing her to miss important meetings. He later resorted to shutting the gates to prevent her exit entirely.

However, witnessing the impact of this situation on her son broke the camel's back and led her to the door. Still, she was proud of her resilience throughout those difficult times.
