Rowling is known for her occasional tweets on X, where she shares her remarks on various issues.

Recently, she seemed to take aim at Radcliffe, Watson, and Grint, the former child stars who played key roles in the live-action adaptation of her Harry Potter books.

It began with a post that asked, "What actor/actress instantly ruins a movie for you?"

Rowling then responded with a cryptic remark, quoting the post and writing, "Three guesses… sorry, that was irresistible." She also added three laughing emojis after her comment.

The book author made no move to clarify what she meant with the remark, which only made fans further fuel speculation that she was referring to Radcliffe and his co-stars.

How Fans Reacted To The 'Harry Potter' Author's Tweet

In the comment section, Rowling's fans added to the cryptic comment with remarks that trolled the "Harry Potter" trio.

"Three guesses? 1. The same people who made millions off your work, then turned on you when it was 'cool,'" a user commented

"Agree with you. As someone who grew up with the series, it has been very disappointing how ungrateful those 3 have been," another fellow commented.

One more person wrote, "There's a beauty to your humour; it's the brutal honesty that makes it so cutting. Such a shame Daniel, Emma, and whatever you call the other one's best magic trick turned out to be disappearing up their own a-s."

Meanwhile, some users expressed their dissatisfaction with Rowling's remark.

Despite their shared success, Rowling and the "Harry Potter" trio have had a tense relationship in recent years, mainly due to her stance on transgender issues.

According to the Daily Mail, last year, she openly declared that she could not "forgive" Radcliffe, Watson, or other celebrities who support the transgender movement, which she claimed was "intent on eroding women's hard-won rights."

"Celebs who cosied up to a movement intent on eroding women's hard-won rights and who used their platforms to cheer on the transitioning of minors can save their apologies for traumatised detransitioners and vulnerable women reliant on single sex spaces," Rowling wrote on X at the time.

"Kids have been irreversibly harmed, and thousands are complicit, not just medics, but the celebrity mouthpieces, unquestioning media, and cynical corporations," she added later.

Rowling went on to address the movement as a scandal whose "consequences" will be felt for decades and further doubled down on her criticism of its supporters.

She continued, "You did all you could to impede and misrepresent research. You tried to bully people out of their jobs for opposing you. Young people have been experimented on, left infertile and in pain."

On a number of occasions, Rowling has made controversial posts many deemed offensive to the transgender community.

At some point, she claimed transgender kids do not exist after an online user criticized her for her "hateful focus on trans kids."

"There are no trans kids," Rowling wrote in the post. "No child is 'born in the wrong body'. There are only adults like you, prepared to sacrifice the health of minors to bolster your belief in an ideology that will end up wreaking more harm than lobotomies and false memory syndrome combined."

In another post, the controversial author blamed doctors and social media for promoting trans "ideas" to impressionable kids.

"Kids are watching TikTok videos of surgeons selling the idea that bodies can be modified like Lego. Schools affirm kids' trans identities behind parents' backs," she wrote.

Rowling further remarked, "Many parents are struggling to protect kids from a Zeitgeist telling them that anxieties about puberty, sexuality and growing up can be fixed by lifelong reliance on Big Pharma and by doctors who make Frankenstein look ethical."
