Rumer Willis recently informed fans that her father, Bruce Willis, is doing well ahead of his 70th birthday celebration.
Taking to her Instagram Story, she asked fans for birthday wishes for the legendary actor, who has frontotemporal dementia.
In a special post for Bruce Willis' birthday, Rumer shared a sweet throwback video featuring her father and mother, Demi Moore.

Ahead of Bruce Willis' 70th birthday, his daughter Rumer called on fans to celebrate the actor in a heartwarming post.
The actress made the request during an Ask Me Anything session on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, March 18, after a fan asked her about her father's health.
The fan had specifically asked, "How's your dad doing?" to which Rumer replied, "He's doing great; thank you for asking."
She then added, "It is actually his 70th birthday tomorrow, so please wish my papa a big happy birthday.

Hours later, Rumer took to her Instagram page to celebrate the "Die Hard" star on the milestone occasion.
She shared a video of her mother, Demi Moore, dancing with Willis near the kitchen area of their home.
In the background, someone could be heard laughing behind the camera, presumably Rumer.
Alongside the post, Rumer added a heartfelt caption. "To the King…I love you, Daddio," she wrote. "Happy 70th Birthday papa."

In the comment section of Rumer's post, fans shared a variety of birthday wishes, following through on the actress's earlier request.
One wrote, "Dear birthday boy, today is your day, I hope it's sunny; more than one joy in your life was the reason for your smile; know that your smile was the reason for my joy; as a fan of your movies. Thank you for everything. Happy birthday."

Some fans also asked whether the video was a recent one, given Willis is currently living with frontotemporal dementia known for its debilitating effects.

All About Bruce Willis' Dementia Condition

Willis' health struggles first came to light in March 2022 when his family shared a joint statement on social media, announcing his decision to step away from his acting career.
In their statement, they disclosed that he had been diagnosed with aphasia, a condition that impairs a person's ability to communicate, affecting both speech and writing.
They wrote in their joint statement, "To Bruce's amazing supporters, as a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities."
While the family did not initially reveal the underlying cause of his aphasia, they shared an update in February 2023, confirming that Willis had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia.
Since these announcements, the family has continued to provide regular updates about his health through their social media platforms.

Since stepping away from acting due to his ailment, Willis has rarely been seen in public, and when he is, he is often accompanied by either family or a hired caregiver.
He was last seen in January 2025 being driven around Studio City while sitting in the passenger seat of the car. During the trip, the windows were rolled down, and the actor could be seen staring straight ahead.
The appearance follows the Hollywood star's public outing, where he was recorded discussing with an LAPD first responder and police officers.
The footage of the outing was shared by his wife, Emma Heming Willis, on her Instagram page.
"Spotting a first responder, Bruce never missed a chance to show his gratitude with a heartfelt handshake and a 'thank you' for your service," Emma captioned the footage, which was shared on January 16. "Yesterday was no different."
The Actor's Ex-Wife Demi Moore Said That He's In A 'Stable Place'

Willis' ex-wife, Moore, previously talked about how the movie star has been doing amid his battle with dementia.
During a chat with CNN, the 62-year-old actress explained that the actor is "in a very stable place," but it hasn't been easy experiencing him go through the struggle.
"Given the givens, he's in a very stable place at the moment," she shared. "And I've shared this before, but I really mean this so sincerely. It's so important for anybody who's dealing with this to really meet them where they're at, and from that place, there is such loving and joy."
Moore added that watching a loved one struggle with the condition is "very difficult" and is "not what I would wish upon anyone."
"There is great loss, but there is also great beauty and gifts that can come from it," she added.
