Teyana Taylor's estranged husband, Iman Shumpert, is insisting he has nothing to do with their divorce settlement leaking to the media.
The professional basketballer is sticking to his narrative that he never released sensitive information concerning the split from his wife of seven years.
Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert ended their union in 2023. The marriage produced two daughters, Junie and Rue, who they welcomed in 2015 and 2020, respectively.
Teyana Taylor's Ex-Husband's Rep Denies He Released Divorce Details As A PR StuntÂ

Shumpert has strongly trashed any allegations of leaking information about his divorce from Taylor. His attorney, Stephen C. Steele stated that Shumpert has not shared any details with the media regarding their split.
The clarification countered Taylor's claims that he provided information to generate interest in his new rap music. Steele emphasized that Shumpert categorically denies leaking any information contributing to recent media reports about their divorce case.
According to TMZ, in the court documents, Taylor accused Shumpert of being responsible for misleading reports about their separation.
Frustrated by this situation, she even requested that the judge impose a 20-day jail sentence and fines on Shumpert to hold him accountable for his alleged actions.
Iman Shumpert Reportedly Has Zero Interest In Publicly Addressing The Divorce

Steele emphasized that Shumpert has committed no wrongdoing regarding his divorce proceedings, which began when the actress filed for divorce in January 2023.
The attorney confirmed that, per the court's order, Shumpert will not disclose any information from the sealed file or discuss the content of any related orders or pleadings.
Steele also highlighted the NBA star's commitment to adhere to the court's directives. He reiterated that Shumpert has no intention of sharing personal details with the media or others who are not directly involved in the case.
Shumpert and Taylor, who began dating in 2013, got engaged in 2015 and were married the following year.
The 'Bare With Me' Singer Claimed Her Ex Violated A Court Domestic Standing Order

Last year, The Blast shared that Taylor and her estranged husband were embroiled in a contentious court battle with serious allegations surfacing against the former NBA player.
Taylor accused her former husband of undermining their marital estate by more than $3.7 million through unauthorized loans taken without her knowledge.
To address this issue, she filed an urgent motion for contempt on March 28, claiming that Shumpert violated a court-ordered automatic domestic standing order meant to protect both parties' interests during divorce proceedings.
This order prevents either spouse from disposing of marital assets while the divorce is ongoing. Taylor claimed Shumpert breached this order by using funds from their matrimonial accounts.
The singer's legal team claims they uncovered the situation when reviewing his recent investment account statements around March 7, 2024. Taylor's team observed a notable decline in several financial values compared to the statements provided by Shumpert in October 2023.
Uncertain whether this decrease was due to market forces, they engaged the expertise of Mike Bean, a certified divorce financial analyst, to investigate and clarify the situation.
Taylor Accused Shumpert Of Owing Property Taxes

Taylor also accused Shumpert of neglecting his financial responsibilities, specifically regarding the taxes on their marital property located in Miami, Florida. She pointed out that these taxes are due on January 31, 2024, and highlighted that her ex-husband has yet to fulfill this obligation.
Shumpert had consistently paid the real estate taxes on all their properties until he unexpectedly decided to stop, despite an existing automatic domestic standing order requiring him to continue those payments.
In light of these actions, Taylor requested a ruling from the court to hold her estranged husband in contempt for breaching the standing order while also striving to ensure that he complies with her demands moving forward.
Teyana Taylor Demanded Iman Shumpert Offset Her Attorney And Legal Fees

Taylor's requests did not end there; she also sought an order for the 34-year-old to begin paying monthly child support for their minor children, effective October 3, 2023. However, the actress did not specify an amount; she left it to the law to decide.
Additionally, Taylor demanded a $1,000 fine for each instance of Shumpert's contempt regarding the court's automatic domestic standing order. She also requested that he be responsible for her attorney fees and any litigation costs associated with her motion.
Furthermore, Taylor asked the court to grant any additional relief it found just and equitable for her situation while reserving the right to amend her motion should Shumpert continue to violate the standing order.
