'Bachelorette' DeAnna Pappas' Neighbor Testifies Amid Drama With Ex-Husband: 'I Saw No Visible Marks On Stephen's Face'

DeAnna Pappas' neighbor comes to her aid amid allegations of domestic violence by her ex, Stephen Stagliano!

The "Bachelorette" alum pushed for the court to block her estranged husband from coming near her alongside testimony from an eyewitness on their physical confrontation.

DeAnna Pappas and Stephen Stagliano ended their marriage in June 2024 after being together for 11 years. The couple first crossed paths and fell in love at a Bachelor Nation event in 2009.

In her efforts to secure a restraining order, DeAnna has provided a declaration from her neighbor, Alex Ingram, as evidence for the court. Things reportedly escalated when Stephen accused DeAnna of domestic violence, a claim she firmly denies. 

She also submitted photos taken by their daughter during the argument, further documenting the incident as described by the neighbor in his statement.

He said his wife told him to go outside after she saw police. Alex claimed DeAnna was in the back of a patrol car, and Stephen was standing there with his father and his girlfriend. The neighbor said:

"After a few minutes went by I spoke briefly to Stephen and told him what he was doing was wrong and he ought to be ashamed of himself. I saw no visible marks on Stephen's face, neck or arms."

According to In Touch, the neighbor added that Stephen appeared very composed and did not look like he had been attacked or injured.

DeAnna's neighbor recounted a conversation with a male sheriff regarding an incident involving DeAnna and her partner, Steven. The sheriff explained that a domestic violence call had been received, with DeAnna accused of attacking Steven. 

When the neighbor inquired about any evidence of an attack, the sheriff reportedly stated that there was none. 

However, he clarified that it did not matter because protocol required officers to arrest at least one person when a domestic violence call is made. Since DeAnna was the one accused, they were obligated to arrest her.

Alex noted that he headed to the garage, where he briefly encountered Stephen's father and engaged him.The neighbor expressed his concerns to him, echoing his shared sentiments with Stephen.

Alex reportedly emphasized that their actions were misguided. He highlighted that arresting DeAnna was not a display of masculinity but rather a source of shame for both father and son. In response, Stephen's father suggested that Alex did not fully understand the situation at hand.

In January 2023, the reality TV star filed for divorce from Stephen, seeking primary custody of their children along with spousal support. Stephen responded by requesting joint custody. The couple eventually reached a settlement in 2024, agreeing to share joint custody of their two children. 

As part of their agreement, they also committed to avoiding excessive alcohol consumption while the children were in their care. This meant that neither party would drink beyond the legal limit during their custody periods. 

Additionally, Stephen was ordered to pay DeAnna $1,000 per month in child support and $1,500 per month in spousal support.

After finalizing their divorce, tensions escalated between Stephen and DeAnna, proving that the troubles were far from over.

As shared by The Blast, The conflict ignited when Stephen's mother, Lynn Stagliano, filed accusations against DeAnna on March 7, claiming she was an uncontrollable alcoholic. Lynn added that DeAnna also appeared heavily intoxicated while picking up her grandchild from school.

In response, DeAnna countered an ex parte application submitted by Stephen, arguing that his claims were based on a fabricated narrative aimed at undermining her relationship with their children. 

She asserted that Stephen had manipulated their daughter into believing that DeAnna was an alcoholic, even teaching her to "sniff out" alcohol in their home. DeAnna vehemently denied these allegations, insisting she had no alcohol problems.

The estranged couple, who renewed their wedding vows just months before their split in October 2022, had always been open with their fans about the challenges of marriage.

In a blog post in 2018, the former reality television star emphasized the effort required to maintain their relationship, noting their commitment to nurturing their marriage daily. 

They reportedly prioritized co-parenting without adopting stereotypical roles and emphasized the importance of regular communication, which helped them spend quality time together. The couple's strong commitment to their faith also served as a guiding principle in their lives and relationships.
