The singer revealed she is working towards making her relocation to the United Kingdom a permanent one due to the reforms of Trump's government.

"I'm really glad I'm here. It's so great to live here. I'm finally getting my British citizenship in six months. I get to be a citizen - I'm applying, man! Can't get rid of me," she said, speaking at the Royal Geographical Society in London.

Per Daily Mail, Love strongly criticized the U.S. President and his close advisors, describing their behavior as reminiscent of "emperor-core." It represents an environment where ostentation prevails, illustrated by their extravagant displays, such as wearing million-dollar watches.

Courtney has expressed her long-standing admiration for London, declaring in 2017 that she envisions living by the Thames. Her love for the city is evident through her subscription to Country Life, which she describes as "real-estate porn."

Since the reelection of Donald Trump, a trend of American celebrities relocating to the UK has emerged, leading to the nickname "Donald Dashers."

Recent Home Office statistics also reveal a significant increase in applications for UK citizenship, up 40 percent from the previous year, with over 6,100 American citizens applying. This represents a massive increase from what the country has seen in two decades.

Among those moving to the UK are DeGeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi, who put their California mansion up for sale to embrace a 'retirement' in the UK. The former talk show host reportedly feels unwelcome in the U.S. due to her sexual orientation.

Mendes and Gosling, who were already residing in the UK, have decided to remain there, a choice also shared by British-American actress Minnie Driver, who returned to London after nearly thirty years in Los Angeles.

America Ferrera was also seen looking at schools in West London, indicating her desire to leave the U.S. post-Trump's election. An estate agent from Notting Hill noted a surge in wealthy American families relocating since Trump's presidency.

Like her colleagues, O'Donnell announced her relocation from the United States in a TikTok video. She shared that the move happened 5 days before Trump was inaugurated on January 20.

As shared by The Blast, the comedian raved about the "warm" life in Ireland, describing the people as "so loving and so kind." O'Donnell explained that she is currently working towards obtaining Irish citizenship due to her grandparents' birth in Ireland.

Although she had never envisioned moving to another country, she believed it was the right choice for her and her 12-year-old child, Dakota, who identifies as non-binary and uses the name Clay.

She expressed that despite her initial reservations about relocating, she felt compelled to make this decision for their well-being. While adapting to her new life in Ireland, O'Donnell confesses that she misses her other children, friends, and many aspects of her life in the U.S.

The Comedian Reflected On The Situation Of U.S. Politics

The comedian also shared her thoughts on the emotional impact of unfolding political events in the U.S., describing the situation as "heartbreaking."

She emphasized that "the personal is political," highlighting the interconnectedness of individual experiences and more significant societal issues.

Earlier this month, she also referenced her relocation, sharing a lighthearted Instagram post where she joked about adjusting to driving on the opposite side of the road in Ireland.

The Blast shared that in a reflective moment shared during an episode of his podcast "Quite Frankly," the author recounted a surprising encounter with Love at Coachella several years ago.

While interviewing her, he recalled being invited to her afterparty, where a seemingly innocent photo session took an unexpected turn.

"Courtney was nothing but kind when I interviewed her, and I genuinely think she was just playing the rockstar persona. She probably thought she was going to give this kid a photo to show his friends and talk about years from now," the journalist recalled.

After the first picture was taken, Love allegedly groped him, catching him completely off guard. Although he did not view her actions as predatory, he expressed concerns over a double standard regarding how men and women are treated in similar situations.

Elaridi highlighted that men in the public eye often face significant backlash for lesser offenses. He emphasized the importance of open discussions, allowing individuals to grow and evolve rather than being hastily judged and ostracized.

Will more celebrities step in the brave shoes of Courtney Love and her many colleagues?
