The JOHN WICK EXPERIENCE Brings An Immersive Adventure To AREA15 In Las Vegas

Love the “John Wick” movies and want to be a part of the action in a fun and challenging way? 

The JOHN WICK EXPERIENCE at AREA15 in Las Vegas is an immersive, action-packed attraction that plunges visitors into the world of the legendary assassin. Inspired by the hit film franchise, the experience blends cutting-edge technology, live-action elements, and stunning set designs to create an interactive adventure.

Guests navigate high-stakes missions, encounter enemies, and engage in tactical challenges, all while stepping into the neon-lit, adrenaline-fueled universe of John Wick. With hyper-realistic environments and thrilling storytelling, this one-of-a-kind attraction offers fans the chance to live out their own Wick-inspired action sequence in the heart of Las Vegas.

After much anticipation, the JOHN WICK EXPERIENCE is now open to the public. The nearly 12,000-square-foot attraction also includes two themed bars and a retail shop.

The interactive experience is based on the “John Wick” motion picture franchise and offers more than a dozen highly themed cinematic rooms, live interactions, and interactive gameplay that really makes guests feel like they’ve stepped right into the movie.

This high-stakes adventure involves completing missions that play out in unique ways with characters, iconography, and mythology inspired by the “Wick” universe. Guests will interact with John Wick Continental Las Vegas staff, crime bosses, assassins, and other curious guests, and will be made to feel they are fully immersed in John Wick’s world. 

In order to bring guests into the world of “Wick,” Lionsgate and Chad Stahelski, franchise director, worked closely with Egan Productions, the producer of the experience. 

“In the films, Chad Stahelski has created a complex, alternate reality with exquisite design, deep mythological influence and meticulous action,” said Jenefer Brown, Executive Vice President & Head of Global Products and Experiences at Lionsgate. “The most important part of creating this experience was honoring that and making sure that our guests truly feel like they are part of the world of the films. The experience delivers wholeheartedly on that promise, and we are excited to share it with fans.”

I had no idea what I was walking into. Ready for this? I've never seen any of the "John Wick" movies. I know, I know (cue the eye roll emoji). So I literally walked into this experience blindly. Would it have been helpful to have seen the movies? Probably, because some things went way over my head, but it's actually not necessary to be well versed in "John Wick" information to enjoy this experience. (Heavy on the word EXPERIENCE.)

I'll walk you through what you can expect. When you get there for your reserved time, you might have to wait outside the door for a few minutes, which adds to the whole vibe. Once the door opens, you check in to the Continental Hotel and then head over to the bar, where you can enjoy a drink while you wait for your experience to begin. (But really, the experience begins the minute you get to the door.)

When it's your group's turn (our group was 10 people including me), you'll be asked to meet at the elevator doors. Once out of the elevator, you'll travel through multiple rooms with live actors who guide you thought the very real feeling experience.

I won't spoil anything for anyone who's planning to go, but I will say you will travel from room to room with a different challenge awaiting you in each. It's not an escape room, but the experience is similar to one, where you are looking for specific things, or doing a challenge before moving on to the next room.

The live actors really make the experience something special. They play their parts well! Don't be surprised if you get called out for something or teased a bit, as that certainly added to the fun of the experience.

The experience starts in one bar and ends in another, so if you want to sit and enjoy the vibe, you have that opportunity. And of course, there's a gift shop if you want to take home a piece of the fun.

If I were going to rate my experience, it would be a 10 out of 10, for sure! My 19-year-old son went with me and he had a blast, too. He had to explain a few things to me (movie references that went over my head) and we laughed a lot. And this is something that I fully plan to do again. Even though the second time around I'll have more of an idea what to expect, I imagine going with a different group will mean some different experiences. In my opinion, it's truly something you can do more than once and have just as much fun each time.
