Kellie Pickler's former in-laws, Reed and Sharon Jacobs, strike another chord in the ongoing legal case!
The parents of Kellie's late husband, Kyle Jacobs, have thrown another request on the judge's table to ensure the retrieval of their son's items from Kellie.
Kellie Pickler has been stuck in a contentious legal battle with Reed and Sharon Jacobs after Kyle Jacobs died by suicide in 2023.

More drama continues to unfold two years after Kyle's death as his parents are now slamming his wife, Kellie, for allegedly refusing to comply with a subpoena as their court battle escalates.
Reed and Sharon, the appointed administrators of Kyle's estate, issued a subpoena to Kellie last year, seeking the return of items belonging to the songwriter. Their recent court filing emphasized that Kellie was represented by highly competent attorneys when the subpoena was served.
They also claimed that she did not comply with the subpoena and demanded her appearance at a deposition, bringing the requested items into her care.

The court battle escalated recently when Reed and Sharon filed a motion claiming that Kellie should be held in contempt for failing to comply with a subpoena.
As noted by The Blast, the couple argued that the subpoena, issued on April 29, 2024, required Kellie to surrender Kyle's properties, which they asserted rightfully belonged to the estate.
Reed and Sharon pointed out that their former daughter-in-law had admitted to withholding this property and despite several informal attempts to retrieve it, she had not complied with the court's order.
Consequently, Reed and Sharon requested that sanctions be imposed on Kellie for her deliberate disregard of the subpoena.

Kellie responded to the scathing allegations against her. She argued against the statement of her former in-laws that there is no grounds for a contempt petition. Kellie added that the court had not issued any order enforcing the subpoena.
To that effect, a hearing is scheduled for March 20 to address the possibility of Kellie being found in contempt. The conflict began when Kellie declined to take on the administrator role for Kyle's estate, leading his parents, Reed and Sharon, to assume that responsibility.
Last year, Kellie filed a petition claiming that Reed and Sharon had subpoenaed her for specific items belonging to Kyle. In her petition, she noted that a dispute had arisen over certain personal property that Kyle allegedly possessed before his death.
The Late Vocalist's Wife Accused Her In-Laws Of Failing To Provide A List Of Items

Kellie earlier accused Reed and Sharon of unlawfully taking items belonging to Kyle from her home after his death, claiming they failed to provide an inventory of the items removed.
In response, Kyle's parents clarified that Kellie had actually invited them to take a selection of items that she had prepared for them.
Reed and Sharon then asked Kellie to gather Kyle's possessions. The couple mentioned his remarkable collection of guns and swords, emphasizing his prized Japanese Samurai sword.
Additionally, they specified the inclusion of his luxury items, such as a 1957 J45 Guitar, his luxury Rolex and Garmin watches, a McPherson KOA guitar, and a plastic bin filled with baseball card albums.
Reed and Sharon also expressed their desire to acquire Kyle's school awards, a Steinway Grand Model M piano, a viola, and various electronic devices.
Throughout his career, the late songwriter collaborated with a diverse range of artists, showcasing his songwriting talent alongside well-known names such as Garth Brooks, Trace Adkins, Jo Dee Messina, Tim McGraw, Clay Walker, and Kelly Clarkson, among others.
Kellie Pickler's Estranged In-Laws Played The Prenuptial Agreement Card

Reed and Sharon's petition raised concerns about the inconsistent information Kellie and her legal counsel provided regarding the ownership and location of certain items belonging to Kyle.
They pointed out that Kellie had, at some point, acknowledged having some of Kyle's prized possessions, which they are requesting. Furthermore, Kyle's parents mentioned that they had a copy of their late son's prenuptial agreement, which clearly defined the assets owned by his estate.
In response, Kellie's petition argued that the assets she received included items she either did not have or for which ownership was disputed. Kellie's troubles with her former in-laws began shortly after the death of her husband, Kyle, as confirmed by law enforcement.
For Kellie Pickler and her estranged in-laws, a common ground is still a mirage!
