Just one episode into "Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup," Ken Urker is already facing criticism from viewers who claim his red flags are beginning to show.
Fans took to social media to call out his behavior, drawing comparisons to the backlash Gypsy Rose’s ex-husband, Ryan Anderson, faced during the first season of the reality series.
Ken Urker Faces Criticism After Gypsy Rose's Reality Show Premiere

Previously, Ryan was heavily criticized for what fans described as controlling and manipulative behavior. Now, many are saying Ken's actions in the premiere episode suggest similar concerns.
The episode followed Gypsy Rose and Ken as they navigated the early weeks of her pregnancy, attending couples therapy to strengthen their communication and ensure a smooth journey into parenthood. However, one particular scene during a dinner outing has sparked controversy.
Viewers claim that Ken pressured Gypsy Rose into trying food she didn’t want, embarrassed her in front of the waiter, and exhibited what they interpreted as manipulative behavior.

Social media quickly erupted with reactions, with many pointing out potential warning signs in his actions.
"How he said 'You’re so disappointing,' YIKES!!!" one TikToker expressed.
"I agree! He was horrible to her. And him talking to the waiter like that! omg!" another pointed out.
"Big red flag. He is trying to embarrass her, and it worked," a third said.
"The way he told her to swallow [the octopus] when she was gonna spit it out. Dudes a weirdo," someone else wrote in the comments section.
Gypsy Rose Vows To Raise Daughter Differently Than Her Own Mother

Gypsy Rose Blanchard has been vocal about her commitment to parenting her daughter differently from how she was raised.
In a now-deleted YouTube video titled “I’m Pregnant, My Journey So Far,” which was posted in July, Gypsy shared an emotional update on her pregnancy, revealing that she was 11 weeks along at the time.
Through tears, she reflected on her hopes for motherhood, expressing a deep desire to give her child the love and care she had longed for growing up.
“All the things that I wanted in a mother, I want to give to this baby,” she said in the video. “I am a mother now, I am happy, and I just want to be a good mother for my child. I want to be everything my mother wasn’t.”
Gypsy Says Ex-Husband Ryan Anderson Is ‘Not Out of the Picture’ Amid Paternity Battle

Gypsy Rose Blanchard is still facing legal complications regarding the paternity of her newborn daughter, Aurora. Despite publicly confirming Ken is the biological father, she revealed in a recent interview with People Magazine that the situation is far from resolved.
"We're still dealing with some things wrapped around the paternity, believe it or not, getting the paperwork finalized for that," she told the outlet.
"So it's like I took the test before she was born, and I posted that Instagram that shut all the rumors of who the father was down, so it was clear," she said. "But then you have the court proceeding part of it, you have to follow up on. And so that is currently what we are dealing with. So Ryan is not out of the picture yet."
Gypsy Rose Faces Legal Hurdles In Paternity Case Due To Louisiana Marriage Law

The complications stem from a Louisiana law that presumes a child born during a marriage legally belongs to the husband. Since Gypsy and Ryan were still legally married at the time of her pregnancy, this law has delayed the process of officially establishing Ken as Aurora’s father.
Attorney Beau Brock previously explained the legal hurdle, telling People, "There's a legal presumption in Louisiana that if you have a child while you're married, it's presumed to be the husband's child. That presumption can be overcome by DNA, and that's what people have to do."
Had Gypsy and Ryan not been divorced for at least 300 days before Aurora’s birth, he could have been automatically listed as the father on the birth certificate.
