In a recent interview with InStyle, Johansson admitted she was caught off guard by a joke Jost made about her on "SNL."

"I just can't believe they went there," Johansson said, laughing. "It was like, old-school gross."

During the joke swap segment, Jost and his "Weekend Update" co-host, Michael Che, read out jokes written by each other.

This time, Jost found himself delivering a particularly risqué line. He said, "Costco has removed the roast beef sandwich from its menu. But I ain't trippin'. I've been eating roast beef every night since my wife had the kid."

As the joke landed, cameras cut to Johansson backstage and her stunned expression, making it clear she wasn't expecting that level of crudeness.

Johansson noted that despite the heads up, she didn't expect to be the punchline of the night.

"I was like, 'I mean, it's a vagina joke, how bad could it be?' And then as soon as the Costco photo came up, I was like, 'No! No, Michael!" the actress recalled.

Johansson, who married Jost in 2020, also reflected on the production team's perfectly timed reaction shot of her stunned expression.

"The fact that it took on a full 'To Catch a Predator’-style reveal or whatever," she joked, "that was so intense. All of a sudden, it was like a whole bunch of people holding up lights and a guy with a video camera. They were waiting for me to react. I felt insane. I was like, 'I think I'm going to faint.'"

She shared that they went to bed at 4 a.m. "I was like, 'My nerves are shot.' And Colin said, 'Me too," the "Avengers" actress said.

During Johansson's chat InStyle, she talked about her childhood and how she has always had a strong work ethic.

"My work ethic comes from being on movie sets as a very young kid," she shared, reflecting on her first film role at age 8 in "North."

"I was immediately making feature-length films. I worked with a lot of adults as a young person," Johansson continued. "My mom really instilled in me the importance of being respectful on set to the adults I was working with. And being prepared for work every day."

Over time, Johansson has learned the art of delegation, though she admits it hasn't always been easy.

"It's understanding how to delegate. I've gotten better at that with more experience," Johansson said. "I am kind of a control freak. I have a very active mind. People always describe how they're 'zoned out' and I'm not sure what that means."

In her chat with the publication, Johansson confirmed that she has closed the chapter on the Marvel Cinematic Universe and wants fans to do the same.

"Natasha is dead," she said, adding, "She is dead. She's dead. Okay?"

Despite her character's universe-saving sacrifice in "Avengers: Endgame," many fans still hold out hope for a comeback, even after Johansson led the 2021 prequel "Black Widow."

"She won't be returning. They just don't want to believe it," the actress said of Marvel diehards.

"They're like, 'But she could come back!' Look, I think the balance of the entire universe is held in her hand. We're going to have to let it go. She saved the world. Let her have her hero moment," Johansson added.

Johansson can't seem to get enough of her husband, Jost, describing him as "kind," "hilarious," and "loving."

However, the actress admitted that he can get mischievous at times as he has a "naughty side" that helps spice up their marriage.

"He's also got his naughty side, you know. That's why he keeps it interesting," Johansson said of the "Saturday Night Live" comic on "Live with Kelly and Mark," per Page Six.

Host Mark Consuelos then quizzed her about the Staten Island ferry that Jost bought alongside pal Pete Davidson in 2022, to which Johansson jokingly replied, "That's the naughty part I was talking about."

"It is, yep, still decommissioned," she added.
