Popular singer SZA recently blasted Shannon Sharpe on Instagram for asking a "tacky" question about her Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) to Coco Jones during an episode of his podcast "Club Shay Shay."
On March 11, internet users noticed SZA finally responded to Shannon Sharpe's mention of the "Snooze" singer's decision to get her body done during an intimate conversation with Jones.

Sharpe's podcast, "Club Shay Shay," has seen incredible success since its launch in 2020. In addition to Jones, who recently released a new single, "Taste," Sharpe has chatted with athletes, actors, comedians, and political figures, such as Vice President of the United States Kamala Harris.
Sharpe touches on many topics with his guests during their conversations. While chatting with Jones about fading trends, the NFL star asked the 27-year-old to share her thoughts about BBLs, specifically SZAs.
Jones gave a classy response, leaving SZA out of it, which many viewers praised her for online. SZA also acknowledged the young adult's professionalism in a comment; however, she wasn't fond of Sharpe's question to begin with.
SZA Slams Shannon Sharpe For Asking 'Tacky' Question

Once SZA heard Sharpe's question about her body to Jones, she wasted no time letting the world know how she felt about it.
In one comment, the "Kill Bill" singer laughed and wondered why "would this be a question for Coco."
"Poor baby, she handled it well now, Shay Shay," she continued.
However, she didn't end there. The Grammy winner posted another comment and blasted Sharpe for asking an "incredibly tacky" question.
"I wanted to come [on your show] too," she continued. "Dah, well."
Fans reacted to her bold statement on Instagram, with many praising her for responding to Sharpe instead of being passive-aggressive.
"CLOCK IT, BABY," one user wrote. "I'm glad you said [something] DIRECTLY."
SZA Says She Didn't Need Her BBL

Although SZA was caught off guard by Sharpe's question about her body, the singer has been open about getting the popular cosmetic surgery done during an interview with British Vogue.
"I'm so mad I did that sh-t," she said before explaining she "gained all this weight" because she couldn't work out while recovering. "It was just so stupid."
SZA, however, revealed that she was moving on and leaving her regret in the rearview, adding, "Who gives a f-ck?"
“You got a BBL, you realize you didn’t need the sh-t. It doesn’t matter. I’ll do a whole bunch more sh-t just like it if I want to before I’m f-cking dead because this body is temporary. It just wasn’t super necessary," she said.
Mike Epps Slammed Shannon Sharpe For Using Black People For 'Clickbait'

SZA isn't the only public figure pointing out an issue they have with Sharpe and his podcast. In early March 2025, popular comedian Mike Epps slammed the Super Bowl winner for using the pain of his Black guests as "clickbait" for his show.
Epps, who was involved in a brief feud with the podcaster in 2024, called him out during an appearance on "The Breakfast Club" and suggested Sharpe "bring some white men on here and grill 'em."
"You can't just grill Black people; that sh-t ain't right," he continued.
He added, "Get some of your NFL players that you know was f-cked up and get them on the show."
During the 2024 NBA All-Star weekend, Sharpe uploaded a photo of the two men to social media, seemingly confirming that their beef, which began over a lie Epps told about Sharpe inviting him on his podcast, had reached its end.
"We both realize this situation could've been, should've been handled differently. I apologize [to my] fam, friends, loved [ones], and my fans," the "First Take" analyst wrote.
Sharpe 'Embarrassed' Over Instagram Live Sex Incident
Following his feud with Epps, Sharpe had another interaction that kept his name in the headlines.
The athlete accidentally live streamed himself having sex with someone on Instagram in September 2024, and the father of three acknowledged the situation during an emergency episode of "Nightcap."
"Obviously, I am embarrassed,” the 56-year-old said. “[I'm] someone that is extremely, extremely private and to have one of your most intimate details, the audio heard for the entire world to hear, I’m embarrassed for a number of reasons.”
He finished by explaining that although he was in private, he always strives to maintain "a level" of professionalism. "And I'm very disappointed in myself," he said.
