But the truth is, we still don’t know for sure whether Reeves will join the franchise. There are conflicting reports.
Not every entertainment site has the same point of view on this developing story. NME is calling Reeves’ possible appearance a “potential role,” and Slashfilm has the headline: “There’s Still Hope for Keanu Reeves in Fast and Furious Sequels.”
So fans need to tamp down their excitement just a tad.
Fast and Furious 9 producer Chris Morgan is also playing coy.
“I sat down with him and we’re talking about [it]. I wanted him to be in the Fast universe for a very long time,” he said.
So why hasn’t it happened yet?
But Morgan adds that they fully intend to bring Reeves on board to the action franchise; it’s just a matter of scheduling.
“We’re just trying to find… the hardest thing is always time and competing schedules and then designing the right thing together. My fervent desire is to bring him into this franchise for sure,” says Morgan.
And Cardi B was only recently confirmed to be in Fast And Furious 9, so anything is possible.
