Selena Gomez thanked her fans for all the support she is receiving for her music but made it clear that she does not support the negativity surrounding Hailey Bieber‘s alleged response to her new song.
The star took to Instagram Live to talk about her new music when she seemingly addressed fans coming after Justin Bieber‘s wife on social media.
“I am grateful for the response that the song is getting. I am so grateful. However, I do not stand for women tearing women down,” Gomez said. “I will never, ever be by that. So please be kind to everyone.”
“It doesn’t matter what the situation is, if you’re my fans don’t be rude to anybody, please,” Selena pleaded with fans.
The singer did not mention Hailey or Justin by name but her followers are convinced she was referring to the shade that Hailey allegedly threw. Hailey claims she did not respond to Selena in any way.
Shortly after the release of Selena’s song, “Lose You to Love Me,” Hailey shared a picture of Summer Walker’s hit song, “I’ll Kill You.”
The song is essentially about a woman threatening another woman for trying to get with her man.
However, after talk of the alleged diss bubbled up online, Hailey responded to a media outlet’s post about the situation and said her post was not connected to Selena at all.
Gomez felt it was important to discourage online bullying of any kind by her fans. The star has since deleted the video from her feed.
Selena’s newest song was released Wednesday night and feature a triumphant Selena who knows how to dance.
She shook her hips and shrugged her shoulders in the music video for “Look At Her Now.”
“And here’s my special gift to all of my ride or dies!” Selena wrote on her announcement Instagram post. “Y’all have been through it all with me and I thank you for pushing me to be the best.”
