'Hannah Montana' Emily Osment Wraps Up Her Divorce In Days After Only 5 Months Of Marriage

Emily Osment is not dragging out her split.

Just five months after tying the knot, the "Hannah Montana" alum has already finalized her divorce from Jack Anthony. Osment wasted no time, swiftly filing the necessary paperwork and wrapping up the split at lightning speed.

Emily Osment, who married Jack Anthony in an intimate ceremony on October 12, 2024, had been engaged for over a year before tying the knot. 

The actress reportedly pulled the plug officially last week but listed their separation date as December 7, 2024, almost two months after their wedding. 

She had already submitted the settlement paperwork by Monday, just days after initially filing on Friday. With no children involved, the process was made even smoother.

TMZ reported that Osment and Anthony had a prenuptial agreement in place, and legal documents confirm that both parties have waived their rights to spousal support. 

They also signed a confidential marriage settlement agreement, keeping the details private. While the divorce is not officially finalized until a judge signs off, the speed of the split suggests both were eager to move on. 

Osment, who reportedly attributed the split to "irreconcilable differences," told PEOPLE,  "I think with any big decision in your life, whether it's relationships or work or whatever it may be, you have to firmly plant both feet in that decision. Ultimately, it didn't work out."

Before their abrupt split, Osment and Anthony seemed head over heels. The couple got engaged during a trip to Yosemite National Park, with Osment gushing in a now-deleted Instagram post about being "deliriously happy." 

She showed off a unique engagement ring featuring a square diamond and circular emerald, writing, "This love is so big and so uniquely ours and I know it can do anything. I am so honored to stand next to you every day. I love you, Jack."

Just days after their October 2024 wedding, Osment reportedly confirmed the news of their wedding during an interview with Gayle King on "CBS Mornings."

Osment's whirlwind marriage to Anthony may have ended in record time, but who exactly is the man she tied the knot with?

PEOPLE reports that Anthony, born in March, attended the University of Virginia from 2011 to 2015, earning a cognitive science and behavioral economics degree. 

The 42-year-old's professional career has since led him to Linktree, where he serves as the head of strategic partnerships.

Beyond the corporate world, Anthony is also deeply involved in music. He is a singer-songwriter, DJ, and producer who shares his work under the username "Farnia" on SoundCloud.

Before her whirlwind marriage and divorce, Osment had another influential man in her life, one she never even met. In 2023, Osment paid tribute to the late "Friends" actor in a now-deleted post, revealing how much he meant to her despite their paths never crossing in person. 

The Blast reports that Osment, who appeared in a 2001 episode of "Friends" at just 9 years old, never had the chance to meet Perry but still felt a deep connection to him. 

The post, which featured a picture of the star on set of the popular show, was accompanied by the caption, "In honor of the late Matthew Perry, a beacon of hope for so many in dark times, I give you my 'trikes over' look from Friends 2001."

Osment went on to share a special memory from years later when she was filming "Young & Hungry" at Radford Studios, where Perry was working on "The Odd Couple." 

"We shared the same dressing room at different times of the year, I would go back to work as he was starting his hiatus and walk into that room 20 feet tall knowing he had just been there," she wrote. Osment concluded the emotional caption, stating:

"I never met him, but I loved him as we all did, and at one point or another we sat on the same ugly, brown couch. Maybe that's enough."

The entertainment world was shaken by the sudden loss of the actor, who passed away at the age of 54. Though the official cause of death was still under investigation at the time of Osment's tribute, it was believed that Perry drowned after being found unresponsive in his hot tub.

Authorities conducted an initial search of Perry's home, where they found prescription anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medications but no illegal substances. 

While an autopsy and toxicology report were expected to provide more clarity, the tragic news sent waves of grief throughout Hollywood. Among those reflecting on Perry's legacy was Osment, who, despite never meeting him, shared how much he had influenced her.
