Angelina Jolie Has Reportedly Turned To A Contract For Son, Pax's Safety After Multiple Crashes

Angelina Jolie is not taking any chances regarding her son Pax's well-being, especially his road safety.

The actress and filmmaker's second oldest child has raised concerns about his need-for-speed lifestyle following multiple crashes. He totaled his Tesla in May 2024 and got into a traumatic e-bike accident months later in July.

These accidents were not enough to stop Pax's daredevil ways, as he got into another incident in January 2025, shortly after his release from the ICU. Now, Angelina Jolie is taking matters into her own hands with a contract to ensure her son takes precautions before hitting the road.

According to a source, the "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" actress needed a binding document to ensure her son prioritized his road safety. "She'd love it if Pax would take these accidents as a warning and give up on this need for speed, but that's very unlikely," the insider alleged. The source continued:

"It was obvious he loved the thrill of going fast. [Angelina] didn't see anything wrong with it at the time, but she regrets feeding into that now. But what can she do? He's an adult, and she can't stop him from riding his electric bike."

Although Angelina could not stop Pax's wild ways, she convinced him to prioritize his safety. The insider told In Touch she made her son agree to take "defensive driving lessons" as part of the consequences of the crash, adding:

"She's made him sign a contract promising he'll always wear his helmet."

The source noted Pax's love for speed stemmed from his earlier relationship with his now-estranged dad, Brad Pitt. They claimed he spent his childhood "out on dune buggies, racing around the sand in Santa Barbara" with the actor.

"It was obvious he loved the thrill of going fast. [Angelina] didn't see anything wrong with it at the time, but she regrets feeding into that now. But what can she do? He's an adult, and she can't stop him from riding his electric bike," the insider explained.

Despite having her son take defensive driving lessons and promise to wear his helmet, the source noted Angelina's worries would never disappear thanks to Pax's previous crashes. "It's still going to give her anxiety every time he leaves the house on his bike," they shared, adding:

"All she can do is hope that Pax is realizing how lucky he is to be alive with his brain intact and that he will act more responsibly on the road going forward."

Pax began making waves for his driving skills when he crashed his Tesla in May 2024. Reports noted he smashed the vehicle into a parked truck outside RED Studios Hollywood. Fortunately, he escaped the accident without sustaining any injuries, but his July 2024 crash was a different story.

Lola Cavalli, one of the first people on the scene of the accident, recalled Pax's dire state following his e-bike accident. She noted the 911 operator directed her to apply pressure to the young man's head as he bled on the pavement.

"His mouth was filled with blood. When [he] was trying to speak, I saw a little tiny stream of blood coming out of the mouth,"she recounted, adding:

"We did everything we thought would be necessary to make sure that the ambulance arrived, and [to make sure] oncoming traffic from both directions keeps on moving instead of piling up."

Following the e-bike crash, Pax was rushed to the ICU for treatment. A source claimed doctors declared he had "suffered complex trauma" from the collision and would endure a "long road of recovery and physical therapy."

Angelina's son made a splashy comeback in September 2024, sporting a gnarly scar above his eye while supporting his mother at the Toronto International Film Festival. The Blast reported that they had attended the premiere of her movie, "Without Blood."

Unfortunately, Pax's road troubles continued a few months later when he got into another e-bike accident. The incident occurred in January 2025 while he cruised hands-free through Hollywood and collided with a white hatchback.

It seemed his previous crashes had taught Pax a valuable lesson, as he reportedly had his helmet on during the January incident. He appeared visibly fine after the crash, but his e-bike sustained damages, including a misaligned wheel.

Pax was captured attempting to move the e-bike but struggled to keep it rolling straight. It was unclear if the other party suffered any damages, but Angelina's son spoke to the car's driver and passenger. They appeared to exchange contact information before going their separate ways.

His most recent crash occurred after sources claimed his mother was "devastated" by her Oscar snub. A source claimed she really wanted to score a best actress nomination for her role in "Maria" and did plenty of press to promote the movie.
