He explained that Jenner asked Chalamet for a quick kiss as the cameras focused on them, but the actor appeared hesitant about the public display of affection.

This was evident when the actor told the makeup mogul, "Wait a minute, love," while keeping his attention firmly on the game.

Rather than wait, Jenner went ahead to hold his Chalamet face and kissed him with the actor's eyes still focused on the court. Noticing this, she then playfully instructed, "Eye contact!" to which Chalamet responded with, "Go on," followed by "Yum, yep."

The awkward exchange between the couple seemingly continued after the kiss, as Chalamet leaned back in his chair, grimaced, and exclaimed, "Ow!". At the same time, Jenner responded with laughter, asking, "Are you okay?"

She then began stroking his stomach repeatedly, seemingly out of concern, but was quickly brushed off by Chalamet, who replied, "No problem, I'm good, don't worry about it."

However, that didn't stop Jenner from continuing to caress Chalamet, who further showed that he was still focused on the game by asking the 27-year-old reality star to "watch the point."

Chalamet then followed his remarks with verbal support for Humbert before standing up and exclaiming, "No, no, how can you miss that!"

He added, "That was a bad miss, that was a bad miss," while a visibly unimpressed Jenner shifted her focus from him towards snapping photos of the court.

The lip reader's revelation comes just days after the couple was spotted attending the Oscars ceremony.

Although they didn't walk the red carpet together, they stayed by each other's side for most of the night, including during an awkward moment when Jenner sat down to greet music icon Elton John.

That same evening, they were seen sharing a passionate display of affection amid their conversation with Chalamet's "A Complete Unknown" co-star Edward Norton and his wife Shauna Robertson.

The duo locked lips intensely despite still being in the presence of the married couple, a move that highlighted their deep connection.

They continued to stay close at the Vanity Fair Oscars party, where they switched into different outfits from what they had worn earlier at the main event.

During the Oscars, Jenner faced backlash over her decision to remain seated while being introduced to Elton John.

The beauty mogul was introduced to the singer by Chalamet during a commercial break at the ceremony.

However, rather than standing up to greet John, Jenner only extended her hand to him for a handshake.

The singer then chose to lift Jenner's hands midway and kiss them in a gentlemanly way, turning what would have been an awkward handshake into a cute interaction.

While John seemed to have no issues with Jenner being seated during the interaction, many social media users felt Jenner's act showed a lack of courtesy towards John, given his legendary status and age.

Trooping to People Magazine's post of the interaction, they slammed Jenner's action as "disrespectful" and "classless."

"Classless as always," a user wrote at the time, while another commented, "disrespectful."

Jenner and Chalamet have been going strong since early 2023. However, despite being spotted together in public on several occasions, they have yet to walk the red carpet as a couple or make their relationship Instagram official.

Still, a source close to them told People Magazine that the duo are a "great couple" and "everyone loves them together."

The insider also revealed that the couple shares a strong bond with each other's families and has successfully found a way to balance their busy careers with their romantic relationship.

"He's close with her family and she's close with his family," the source said at the time. "It's very serious, but also a fun relationship."

They added, "They've really been able to figure out a good balance between working and spending quality time together."
