Rapper and streamer DDG has taken another step after accusing his ex-girlfriend Halle Bailey of not allowing him to see their son Halo by releasing a new song about the situation.
On Friday, DDG caused a stir during a livestream when he claimed he hadn't seen his son Halo for a long time and had struggled to spend quality time with him.
His allegations surprised many as he and Bailey seemed to have a good co-parenting relationship. Meanwhile, Bailey has announced she is taking a social media break amid the drama.
DDG Releases New Song 'Don't Take My Son'
The rapper hasn't stopped at accusing Bailey of not allowing him to see Halo; he took a step further by releasing a new song titled "Don't Take My Son."
In the new track, which DDG released on Saturday night, he belted out lyrics like, "Don't take my son cuz he is all I got. I'm just having fun. I don't love these thoughts."
He also rapped, "You tell me that you going to move on but I know you not. Trying to make me pay to see my son, that's going to make me hurt, that's going to make me pissed, it's going to make me sick..."
DDG's lyrics were seemingly directed at Bailey as he expressed his frustration about his situation.
Netizens React To DDG's New Song

Many YouTubers trooped to the comment section of DDG's new song to share their thoughts after he released it on the social media platform.
One fan who found the whole drama hilarious commented, "Watch he plays this everyday on live until he gets his son."
Another YouTuber commented, "Only DDG would do something like this."
A third person opined that DDG is really hurt about not being able to see his son. They wrote, "I think bro dead -ss about this song; he really loves his son. It's some pain in this. He is trying to bring balance and harmony to this situation."
Another fan shared, "We making it to the child support office with this one."
More Social Media Users React To DDG's Song

Meanwhile, netizens on X also reacted to DDG's song, with some calling DDG out for using his baby for his video content. The Shade Room compiled some of these reactions.
One person shared, "At first I was with DDG about fathers not being able to see their children because of bitter b-tches, but now he's doing too much. If you're able to make a f-cking song, you're able to take Halle to court to get your son."
Another person added, "DDG made a song about not taking his son ... man say, dude seems immature asf but he know how to capitalize off some sh-t."
A third person opined, "DDG took his business with Halle on twitch where he gets paid, posted a YouTube video about it where he gets paid, previewed a song about it that'll be monetized when released. This is all planned out for money, attention, & control and its obvious af cause he won't go to court."
Another fan advised Bailey, saying, "This n-gga DDG did all this because he's dropping a song for Halo? Halle baby you better get some good sneakers and a good lawyer cause he about to have you running back and forth to the court house lmao."
DDG Claims Halle Bailey Won't Let Him See Their Son
On Friday, DDG expressed frustration over his inability to see his son, Halo.
In a vlog titled "She Won’t Let Me See My Son," he shared that, despite his efforts, co-parenting with Bailey has been difficult.
He claimed he is treated like a "secondary parent" and is only allowed minimal time with Halo.
DDG denied being a "deadbeat," stating he simply wants to be in his son's life. He also criticized Bailey’s control over their son’s whereabouts, saying it's unfair.
While acknowledging their relationship is over, he insisted his only concern is spending time with Halo, not Bailey's personal life.
Recall that in November 2024, DDG and Bailey had a co-parenting issue after she slammed him for bringing Halo on a live stream with Kai Cenat without her consent.
Halle Bailey Announces Social Media Break

Bailey has announced a social media break amid the ongoing drama with DDG. HotNewHipHop reported that the singer made this known on Snapchat.
She reportedly wrote, "Good morning, Snap. I just wanted to come on here and tell you guys why I'm not posting. Me and Halo are very sick."
Bailey continued, "We do not feel good at all. So, sorry I haven't been posting snaps, but I've just been using all my energy to take care of my baby and myself."
She concluded, "Any mommies have any tips for this cold? [...] Any other tips would be welcome and needed. Love you guys."
