Ben Affleck Source Slams 'Ridiculous' Claim The Actor Is Open To Rekindling Romance With Jennifer Garner

Ben Affleck is reportedly not interested in getting back with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, despite rumors that the two have grown closer.

The duo was recently spotted sharing an intimate moment during a family outing with their kids, Fin, 16, and Sam, 13.

Earlier reports also revealed that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have been texting and calling each other more than ever since his split from Jennifer Lopez.

Reports that Affleck and Garner are getting back together have been refuted by a source close to the "Accountant" star.

According to TMZ, an insider slammed the speculations as "ridiculous," noting that Affleck is simply happy to share a great relationship with Garner as they co-parent their children, Violet, 19, Fin, 16, and Sam, 13.

They also claimed that Affleck is not involved with anyone else and is currently focused on directing a yet-to-be-revealed movie.

The rumors come in the wake of earlier reports suggesting that Affleck and Garner have grown closer since the actor split from his wife, Jennifer Lopez, last year.

At the time, it was also mentioned that Affleck and Garner were texting and calling more than they had in recent years after she helped him navigate the emotional toll of his divorce.

Further fueling rumors of Affleck and Garner getting back together was their recent display of affection during a family paintball outing.

The former couple took their children, Fin and Sam, paintballing near Combat Paintball Park in Castaic, near Los Angeles.

Amid the excitement of the game, Affleck was seen casually wrapping his arm around Garner's waist, a gesture that hinted at a level of closeness beyond co-parenting.

Initially, Garner appeared focused on the game, aiming her paintball gun at what was presumably a target.

However, as Affleck pulled her in slightly, her hips seemed to briefly lean into his embrace, suggesting that she didn't mind the intimate act.

Even if the rumors about Affleck possibly rekindling a relationship with Garner were true, one major obstacle is her relationship with John Miller.

According to reports, Garner is "happy" with the tech CEO and has no intention of cutting ties with him to reconnect with her ex.

"She's happy with John, and that's just not where her head is at," said an insider about Garner. "She has a great co-parenting relationship with Ben, and that's where things stand on her end at the moment."

Garner and Miller first connected in 2018 and began dating after she finalized her divorce from Affleck. They split in late 2019 but reconnected in 2021, and since then, the couple has been blossoming.

While it's unclear if they intend to take the relationship further, the duo are quite "serious."

"They are serious. He's also a co-parent and understands her priority," a source told People Magazine about Garner and Miller in September 2023.

"Their relationship is fun and easy-going," the insider also revealed. "She's very happy."

In the meantime, Lopez is said to be feeling "betrayed" over Affleck's closer relationship with his ex-wife after the viral footage of their paintballing outing.

"[JLo] saw the paintballing images when the rest of the world did, and of course it will make her question things from their time together," an insider informed the Daily Mail. "Her friends have questioned how platonic Jen [Garner] and Ben are."

They added, "She will feel betrayed because she invested so much time in supporting Ben through his challenges and had a rough year as their marriage broke down."

The source further claimed that Lopez now feels even more uneasy about the concerns she had regarding Affleck's bond with the mother of his children.

"Seeing how quickly he has started spending more time with Garner has exacerbated the concerns she already had about his relationship with her while they were married," the insider continued.

Affleck and Lopez chose to part ways without any court drama by appointing a dissolution lawyer to mediate their split.

In the end, neither of them received any spousal support, and both were allowed to walk away from the marriage with all of the assets they owned prior to tying the knot in 2022.

Lopez still got to keep her 8.5-carat diamond engagement ring, worth an estimated $5 million, although not the most expensive among the ones she has received from her previous ex-husbands.

Meanwhile, she will also split the proceeds from their Beverly Hills mansion with Affleck.

The former couple, who were recently declared "legally single," purchased the property in May 2023 for $60.8 million and hope to sell it for $68 million.

The house remains unsold for now, after being on the market since mid-last year.
