Adrien Brody Breaks Silence After Harvey Weinstein Responds To Oscars Speech

51-year-old actor Adrien Brody shared a message on social media just hours after convicted rapist Harvey Weinstein reacted to the actor's emotional Oscars acceptance speech, in which he mentioned Weinstein's children.

Adrien Brody, who has been dating Harvey Weinstein's ex-wife Georgina Chapman since 2019, won his second Best Actor Oscar at the 2025 ceremony for his role in "The Brutalist."

During his acceptance speech, Brody expressed gratitude to Chapman and her two children, Dash and India, whom she shares with Weinstein.

“I share this with my amazing partner Georgina, who has not only reinvigorated my own self-worth but my sense of value and my values and her beautiful children, Dash and India," Brody said. "It's been a rollercoaster, but thank you for accepting me into your life, and Popsy's coming home a winner.”

Weinstein, who is currently serving a lengthy prison sentence at Rikers Island, responded to Brody’s speech through his spokesperson, Juda Engelmayer. Speaking to Daily Mail, Engelmayer said, “Harvey is happy for Georgina and grateful that his kids are being loved and cared for as they deserve to be.”

Just hours later, Brody took to Instagram to share a video of himself strolling through Los Angeles.

“I got no sleep. I got no sleep last night. I am going to keep this video short because I know I made the longest Oscars speech in history,” Brody joked, laughing at his own expense. His acceptance speech ran for five minutes and 40 seconds, breaking the previous record set by Greer Garson in 1943.

He concluded the video with an inspiring message, “I love you all. You know I'm grateful. Keep smiling, and I hope that this proves that dreams can come true and I hope that your dreams come true as well. God bless you.”

His post was captioned with a hopeful note to his 1.9 million followers: “Believe in hope. Believe in yourself. Spread love, not hate. and thank you #keepsmiling.”

Fans immediately flooded the comments section, sharing nothing but love for the actor.

"Keep smiling and sharing kindness to us all!," one user said. "You are amazing!!"

"Congratulations. So well deserved. Such a powerful performance and it was such a distinct pleasure to see a film of such caliber (it’s been a while)," another wrote. "Bravo. Keep reveling in the good."

Chapman, who divorced Weinstein in 2017 following the revelations of his sexual abuse allegations, has remained largely out of the spotlight since. Her split from Weinstein came as the #MeToo movement gained momentum, with numerous women accusing the former film mogul of rape, sexual assault, and harassment.

Weinstein, who has always denied all allegations of non-consensual sex, saw his 2020 conviction on rape and sexual assault charges overturned last April. He is currently awaiting a new trial.

Adding to his legal woes, Weinstein's health has been deteriorating. In October, reports emerged that he was being treated for chronic myeloid leukemia at Rikers Island.

Over the summer, he was hospitalized multiple times for a variety of health issues, including COVID-19, double pneumonia, and complications requiring fluid to be removed from his heart and lungs.

Engelmayer noted that Weinstein is "fighting for his health and healthcare" and that it is "challenging where he is and not in the hospital where he should be."

The former Hollywood power player is currently serving a 16-year sentence in California for a separate conviction, with his retrial in New York set to begin soon.

Brody’s post, alongside Weinstein’s response, has left fans speculating about the deeper meaning behind the actor’s cryptic words and whether there is more to the story than meets the eye.
