Terminator: Dark Fate hits theaters on November 1st sci-fi fans are cautiously optimistic. Sure, fans have been burned by the last three films in the franchise (yikes), but Dark Fate serves as a direct sequel to T2 and ignores the shenanigans of the lesser series installments. Not only that but Linda Hamilton, forever badass, is returning to the role of Sarah Connor.
In order to reprise her iconic role, Hamilton worked extremely hard to get into shape. The 63-year-old explained on ITV’s Lorraine that she may have gone a little overboard.
“There were no carbs in my life for a year. I got so lean, when I arrived they had to build me a butt. They added bottom, something you don’t ever see coming — who wants more bottom? — but apparently … I shouldn’t give my secrets away!”
According to Hamilton, there wasn’t a bit of rest during the shoot.
“ime off was military training, Spanish lessons, scuba, we had to do it all. There was never a moment we weren’t learning something or acting.”
Her co-star Mackenzie Davis agreed.
“It was so hard making this g*d damn movie.”
Hamilton joked that she was being driven to extremes following the intense shoot.
“I’ve been threatening to fake my own death so I wouldn’t have to do the next one if there is one. It really was hard, it was the hardest and the greatest I’ve ever done.”
Hamilton explained that the women in the film might even be tougher than Arnold Schwarzenegger himself.
“We get to do some really good work together this time rather than just running from him.”
