Gabrielle Union had no trouble shutting down the haters recently after someone seemed to take issue with a perfectly normal picture of her and her family — Dywane Wade, Gabrielle Union, baby Kaavia and Zion.
Gabrielle and Zion were seen recently with Zion, 11, who marched in Miami Beach Pride in April.
They seem like a great family, and it sounds as if everyone is happy and accepted for who they are.
Wade recently shared another picture of Union, Zion and Kaavia with the line “My girls.” Buzzfeed notes that Zion hasn’t discussed sexual orientation or identity, but Zion doesn’t need to, as it’s a personal choice.
But of course, someone had to take issue with it all.
Most people weren’t biting.
“Am I supposed to raise my eyebrow at parents loving their kids? asked @Anvkii.
“It’s beautiful. Love seeing a supportive black family man. That shit is nice and refreshing. Kids get killed and kicked out the house for coming out. LOVE that they’re BLACK too. Ugh love it,” said @lolowiththefro.

Union weighed in as well, responding to the original tweeter:
“Looks like love to me. I truly hope that everyone gets the love, support and hugs they deserve. Also Kaav ain’t with the dumb sh*t. Peace & Blessings good people.”
That tweeter said they weren’t bothered by the photo to begin with, and ended up muting comments.
Union did say: “Also Kaav ain’t with the dumb sh*t,” so that’s that.
Looks like love to me 🤷🏾♀️ I truly hope that everyone gets the love, support and hugs they deserve. Also Kaav ain't with the dumb shit. Peace & Blessings good people. https://t.co/faFyusNktj
