“Hi everybody! So, I’ve got some big news,” Gypsy Rose began in the video, filming herself from the driver’s seat of her car. “I am now, officially, a Louisiana driver!”

Taking her followers along for the ride, she documented a trip to a local Dollar General to pick up supplies, noting in the caption that the adventure was captured on a GoPro. Nervous Beginnings And Driving Lessons

Despite her excitement, Gypsy Rose admitted that learning to drive didn’t come without its challenges. “I was very nervous to begin driving, and so I just wanna thank everybody for their encouragement,” she shared at the end of the video.

She revealed that her driver’s test was completed in two parts, with some of it taken in December and the rest in January. Fortunately, she found the process to be fairly smooth. “The course was pretty easy. The questions were pretty okay, in my driving, I did pretty well,” she explained.

However, there are still a few areas where she hopes to improve. “The only thing I need to work on is parking and turning into lanes or streets,” she admitted, adding that she sometimes pulls in too fast but is determined to refine her skills.

Gypsy Rose’s latest accomplishment comes just months after she welcomed her first child, daughter Aurora, with partner Ken Urker. The couple’s baby girl was born on December 28, 2024, exactly one year after Gypsy Rose was released from prison for her role in the 2015 murder of her mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard.

Though she previously shared glimpses of her life as a new mom, Gypsy Rose recently announced that she will no longer be posting photos or videos of Aurora online. However, she does still offer small peeks into her family life, including a recent Valentine’s Day tribute to Urker.

“My two loves on Valentine’s Day @kenurker,” she captioned a post featuring Urker holding their daughter. Aurora’s face, however, was turned away from the camera.

A Look Back At Gypsy Rose's Childhood

Gypsy Rose Blanchard's life is a complex narrative of abuse, deception, and resilience.

Born on July 27, 1991, she was subjected to years of medical abuse by her mother, Clauddine "Dee Dee" Blanchard, who falsely claimed Gypsy suffered from numerous severe illnesses, a condition known as Munchausen syndrome by proxy. Dee Dee's fabrications led to unnecessary medical treatments and procedures for Gypsy, including the use of a wheelchair and feeding tube, despite Gypsy being physically healthy.

In June 2015, seeking to escape her mother's control, Gypsy conspired with her then-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, to murder Dee Dee. Gypsy pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. She was released on parole in December 2023 after serving eight years.
