Former Cincinnati Bengal and NFL legend Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson caught some heat from podcaster and rapper Cam'ron Giles in late February 2025.
During a segment on his show, "It Is What It Is," Giles discussed Johnson's previous conversation with Stephen A. Smith, in which the football player recalled the time he had penis enhancement surgery.
Also, during his monologue, Giles called Johnson out for making questionable remarks about his sports podcast, which is sponsored by Underdog Fantasy, and claimed his success threatened the 47-year-old.
Chad Johnson, however, didn't take Giles' remarks too well and fired back during the most recent episode of his podcast "Nightcap," which is co-hosted by Shannon Sharpe.
What Did Giles Say About Chad Johnson?
Giles opened up about the conversation Johnson had with Smith in early February 2025 about getting penis enhancement surgery. He called the baller out for sharing confidential information about his private parts and even quoted a lyric from Kendrick Lamar's popular diss track "Not Like Us."
“Freaky -ss n—s need to keep they -ss inside," he said before slamming Johnson for allegedly "hating" on the impact his podcast, "It Is What It Is," had on the media industry.
“I don’t really f-ck with [him], to be totally honest with you. When we started the show, the n—a was hating from the very beginning," Giles said. "We were doing very well, we were very successful. We didn’t even have no deal, no sponsors, no nothing. We were doing this off the muscle."
Giles then explained that Johnson made a remark about "taking Cam's spot," which riled the Diplomat rapper up. Later, Giles blasted Johnson before saying he believed he was "threatened."
"Why the f-ck you got to take my spot? What the f-ck are you talking about?" Giles asked. "We had only been doing the show for three months, but that’s how much of an impact that I had that b-tch-ss n—a felt threatened.”
Giles Says He Offered Chad Johnson More Money Than Sharpe

The "IIWII" host then explained how he tried to offer Johnson a job as a co-host on his podcast, which he claimed would've paid him more money than Sharpe's "Nightcap."
"I tried to offer you more paper than you probably get now," he said.
"I bet you ain’t getting paid the money that Mark Jackson and Mike Irvin got paid working with us," Giles continued. "Your agent is probably robbing you. You probably aren’t as well off as n—as think you are. And if you still need a job, I ain’t hiring no more."
Giles finished: "I don’t like you hating on me for no mothaf-ckin’ reason from the jump.”
Johnson Had Respect For Giles And His Podcast

Once Johnson caught wind of what Giles had to say about him, the NFL player replied with a couple of posts on X, formerly Twitter. One reply was a GIF of 50 Cent saying, "Why he gotta say f-ck me for?" Another was in response to a fan, in which the ex-wide receiver said Giles' latest clip wouldn't have gone viral had he not been speaking about him.
On the February 26 episode of his podcast, Johnson addressed the Giles' statements and fired back immediately.
First, Johnson explained that his comment about "coming for your spot" was based on respect and admiration rather than jealousy and greed. "I’m saying I’m coming for your spot because I see you as the standard that is setting the bar in that specific space," he told co-host Sharpe. "You took that as an insult, which is weird to me."
Then, Johnson's attitude shifted, and he began telling Sharpe and his listeners that he and Giles aren't on the same level. “There’s a difference. In your lane, you do what you do. I’m in completely different lanes and completely different rooms from you, despite me always playing around and joking. It’s different," he said.
Johnson Tells Giles That He's 'Easy To Find'
Johnson didn't stop there, though. As he discussed Giles' "personal" comments about him, the father of eight let the podcaster know that he was "easy to find."
"Now you getting personal with the words and the talking; I post my location where I'm at every day," Johnson said. "Everybody know where I am every single day. No matter what city I travel to, I'm outside all of the time."
He continued and seemingly challenged Giles to a fight if he was up for it.
"If it was really an issue, or you really didn't like me and it was a problem, I'm easy to find—especially in Miami," Johnson said. "If I'm not mistaken ... y'all film here."
Fans Are Reacting To The Beef

Fans began responding to Johnson and Giles' beef online after both of their clips went viral on different social media platforms.
"Yea, I'm with Ocho on this one," one user wrote. "'I'm coming for your spot' sounds like friendly competition in the context he used it."
Another user also chimed in and said that Ocho wanted "smoke, and rightfully so."
"Ocho never holds back! This is gonna be interesting," a third poster commented.
A fourth netizen, however, wasn't excited about the conflict and encouraged them both to "put this on the back burner and get back to business."
"It's worth saying—there's a plot against both of you at this point," they continued. "Don't be your own enemy."
