Actress Kate Hudson isn’t holding back when it comes to discussing love, sex, and personal growth in her 40s.
Kate Hudson, who is engaged to musician Danny Fujikawa, didn’t shy away from discussing the evolution of her sex life and how age has brought a newfound sense of liberation.
Kate Hudson Heats Up With Candid Bedroom Confessions

In a bold and revealing interview with Bustle magazine, the "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" star opened up about intimacy, relationships, and the lessons she’s learned along the way.
The 45-year-old actress showcased her confidence and toned physique in a series of striking images, which included an open white jacket and pale blue hot pants in one daring shot.
“The best part about sex in your 40s, honestly, is the freedom,” she shared. “Sex isn’t supposed to be pretty, and I think that when you get older you kind of have more fun with that.”
Hudson Admits To Being A Huge Flirt

Known for her playful and outgoing nature, Hudson also acknowledged her reputation as a flirt, a trait she says Fujikawa, with whom she shares six-year-old daughter Rani Rose, fully embraces.
“I’m the biggest flirt on the planet,” she admitted. “So I think anybody who’s ever been with me is very aware that I flirt with everybody, girls, boys. Thank God Danny is my partner. He can handle this. I met the right guy.”
While Hudson’s love life has settled with Fujikawa, she has been candid about the struggles of past relationships and the emotional toll of breakups. During a recent appearance on "How to Fail with Elizabeth Day," the mother of three reflected on the difficulty of letting go and the fear of failure that comes with ending relationships.
“The hardest part about walking away from relationships is the feeling of failure. One hundred percent,” she revealed. “For me, that was the hardest thing—it’s letting go of the fact that it feels like a failure, or I couldn’t make something work, or I couldn’t fix something.”
Kate Hudson Recalls Going To Therapy

Before meeting Fujikawa, Hudson was married to The Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson from 2000 to 2006, with whom she shares 21-year-old son Ryder. She later became engaged to Muse frontman Matt Bellamy, welcoming son Bingham, now 13, before their split.
Through therapy and self-reflection, Hudson said she’s come to understand that not all relationships are meant to last.
“Sometimes it’s like you’re trying to fit a square peg in a round hole, and it’s just never going to happen,” she explained. “Then you realize as it heals, ‘Oh, this isn’t the failure, this was exactly what needed to happen.’”
In fact, before Fujikawa entered her life, Hudson’s therapist suggested she take a break from dating altogether.
“My therapist told me to stop dating men for a year,” she admitted, adding that by the end of it, she had lost all interest in the dating scene. “I took boys out of the equation and had to just go through this process of feeling very uncomfortable with not having any connection to anything that could ignite my dopamine, my flirtatious side.”
Hudson Reflects On Life Before Danny Fujikawa

Before meeting her fiancé Danny Fujikawa, Kate Hudson took a step back from dating to focus on herself, which ended up being a decision that ultimately transformed her perspective on love and relationships.
“Then it was like I hit something, I hit this core of an issue for myself,” Hudson reflected. “I had [an] almost like childhood cry, and it was like a weight had been lifted off of me. And honestly, from that point on, I couldn't care less about who was texting me.”
Finding Happiness In Solitude Before Love Found Her

During this period of self-reflection, Hudson found immense joy in her independence.
“My life became so happy alone. I felt very connected to what I wanted to do, my daily routine with my kids, my cozy time,” she shared. “I didn’t care about putting anything on, and so when I went back into the dating world, my relationship to dating completely changed.”
As she continues to embrace life, love, and her unapologetic personality, Kate Hudson continues to prove that confidence and self-assurance are the best accessories of all.
